Re: 99 in the SB - Stars $22 180 SnG, level 1....is this a donk play?

I don't particularly like it. Re-raise usually means a big pair, bigger than 9's. Well, at least you either double up quick or start another!

Re: Freeipods, FreeTVs, etc... not spam folks, looking for MTT thought

I don't know a ton about these "deals", but if each person need 8 referals, and we're all signing up for each other, that means each one of has to sign up for 8 deals. Thats a heck of alot of...

Re: How Many Suckouts Do You Make In Your Tourney Wins?

I have noticed 3 types of luck in most of my tourny wins.

1)Getting paid off on big hands.
2)Not getting crippled by other's big hands
3)suckouts

For me at least, 1 and 2 have been much more...

Re: Bubble Hand in Stars 180. Stop and Go?

FWIW, I think you need some info on UTG+1. Is he loose, raising a lot, or has he been sitting back. In low limit tourneys you run into a lot of opponents who just won't fold PF if they have chips in...

Re: JJ, early-mid tourney Party 20+2

Good news its a Pary 20+2 with blinds at 25/50 and the tourney is still full of dummys. Whatever you bet I don't see you getting away from it. I would bet $1250 and hopefully he realizes that you...

Re: Job That Couples Well w/ Online Poker On The Side?

Are you athletic, do you live where it snows?

I have spent several seasons teaching snowboarding, and its very rewarding. You're outdoors, active, always meeting new people and enjoying a sport...

Re: AJs UTG, I made this mess....

[ QUOTE ]
Preflop: Limp preflop if your table is fairly passive. If it's agro just fold em. AJs just isn't worth a raise from ep.

Folding seems so weak, but I really hate playing...

AJs UTG, I made this mess....

Stars 180 $20+2, just afer first break. Avg stack ~3800

I have been having problems with hands UTG lately, I see now that that re-raise is bad. Just moved to the table, so not much for reads. ...

Re: ITM - JJ with a raise in front.. fairly deep stacks - which way to go?

I dont see a raise that doesn't pot commit you. I hate calling and then seeing paint on the flop. How quiet is 'quiet"? Pretty easy push.

Re: 180SnG, TPTK Facing Bet On Flop

Looks to me like a weak A or middle pair trying to take down the pot without loosing too much. Raise pot, and let him know hes playing for his whole stack. Way too many donkeys in these tourneys to...

Re: JJ and Deep Stacks = Oil and water?

If the guy has played every hand, I think I re-pop him on the turn, and slow down from there. Get a little more value out of his 8's.

Although, the more I look at your line, the more I like it. ...

Re: 99- What\'s your line?

Agro Andy says PUSH. Standard ~3x open raise in MP, I'm sure most of the time you will get a fold. Your in the money, and people open up their game. Yes he could have JJ but 2 face cards are much...

Re: ITM Stars 20 table, move up or look for a better spot?

I guess I realized that... as I was typing. Sometimes my agression gets the best of me.

I saw the 20+ BB raise, and said "he wants NO action", and promptly gave it to him. River was unkind.

Re: what is the best buy-in to gain MTT experience

In response to your original question, you should try some of the sites other than PP & PS. Prima & Pacific have much smaller fields for the respective buy-ins. You should try your had at those. ...

Re: Preflop with AK at final table in PS 20 table SNG

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I see this as a pretty easy fold. Too much action for AK. Although It would really depend on my read of MP1. I think hes got a small PP and looking for a cheap...

Re: December - the 180 man SNG challenge

Ya, I keep expecting to get crushed by big hands, only to find out the guy called his whole stack off on an ISSD or middle pair. These things are highly +EV!

Re: December - the 180 man SNG challenge

I started these a week and a half ago, and I love them. 5 cashes, including 2 firsts and 1 second and 2-3 bubbles. Thats out of maybe 25, the play is aweful. I may be just running hot, but who...
