Re: 6-handed, need help

My actual play: I raised to 600 (3xBB), he pushed, I folded. Is my raise a mistake? Is pushing in that situation always better than a standard raise?

Thanks for all the input,
J

Re: 6-handed, need help

Good. That was my thought at the time, and I folded. Afterwards, I worried that the fold was too weak. Here is another hand I am wondering about:

Re: Do I fold or push with AQo here vs limp, shorstack all in and a call.

What buy-in is this?

Unless I know the raiser and the caller are LAGs, I fold this without hesitation.

Nope, I assume you are recommending it...I do not have any of the HOH books at the moment.

Re: Heads Up Woes

What resources can I use to learn the hand ranges and their relative strength? Are you suggesting a push/fold strategy pf in heads-up, or should I be looking to see flops?

Thanks,
J

Heads Up Woes

Lately I am getting to heads-up regularly, but my 2nd place percentage dwarfs my 1st. Are there general guidelines or strategies? Anyone know of a good book or web resource for heads-up play?

Re: Hand Review - Help

I see why pushing or folding are the two reasonable options (I think I should have folded this pf), but what do you think about the post-flop play?

Definately fold pre-flop.

However, since you saw the flop...with 3600 in the pot I am not sure what to make of a minimum bet with a minimum raise. I think I push this and get called by someone...

Re: Is this horrible?

Thanks for the input everyone. I certainly understand now why folding PF is the best option. If no one had opened, what is the best option (call, raise, push)?

Thanks,

Re: [$55] 4-handed at level 3 hand

This seems like an interesting hand.

You have 20BB, so even though you are down to 4 players you don't need to commit yourself with a hand like A9o. A call here is good, because you can make a pot...

Result

Here is the actual end of the hand:

Hero has As Ad (one pair, aces).
MP1 has 9d 7h (straight, jack high).
Outcome: MP1 wins t2810. Hero wins t125.

I gave him a big smile and a "nh".
