no need to duplicate the .25/1/5 chips. Just use your tourney set. 25 = $0.25 100 = $1 etc. no need to be short on any chip.

I think the intention of the single chip rule was that if a player didn't have the correct change to make the call he would use one larger chip to make the call, and get change.

I prefer the 2nd structure as the levels might be shorter, but at least tehy are more gradual. a quick look shows they both get to the 800/1600 blind level at the same time and your tourney should...
