Re: NHL thought / bet for tonight

Oh well - looks like the hawks bet sucked.... if only the owners would play the home games on TV, I'd be able to at least watch my money go away /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: NHL thought / bet for tonight

Right - i didn't mean to imply I was testing... I'm just placing a bet / gambling with what I think is a small edge. I do keep all my bets and reasons in a database - so in a couple years when I...

Re: NHL thought / bet for tonight

Thanks for the replies all. I think I'm going to make a small bet just to "test" my theory out. It's known, but only in local chicago papers on the 5th page of the sports section (blackhawks are...

NHL thought / bet for tonight

I've never made a bet on an NHL game even though I am (unfortunately for me in Chicago) an avid fan.

There was a blowup at the BlackHawk's practice yesterday by the captain after a tough, tough...

odds of bears / vikings winning nfc north

I've been thinking about this a little bit - what are the odds that the bears / vikings win the NFC north?

They're only 1 game back (vikings, that is), but w/ the tie-breakers, it's closer to 2...

Re: Restealing.

I meant to imply all this when I said "If they fold too much, fine run them over." But my comment was geared towards playing against good players who won't fold too much and who will call...

Re: Against a Maniac (Two Hands)

[ QUOTE ]
My feeling was that if I showed enough strength on the turn it would keep him from raising me. If he called I planned to check through on the river since I had posistion.

Re: 3 handed 5-10 little deep

It's 3 handed and most hands were just being won by the raiser w/ a continuation bet (in regards to raising 85o). Raising any two on the button there was profitable at that time.

I'm also not for...

Re: Against a Maniac (Two Hands)

Yeah, Hand 1 is a call.

Hand 2, you NEED to check behind that turn - what's the point of that bet?

3 handed 5/10. I'm on button ($2.2k).

I raise to $35 w/ 85o. SB folds, BB calls ($1.5k)

flop ($75). 258r.

Player in the BB is why I'm playing. He's been calling a lot of bets w/...

Wow - you just described my biggest leak as well to a point. I do the same thing, especially if I'm losing already. But if I'm winning I'll do the same.

Re: i play bad

yeah, at the time I was thinking a half info / half value bet. If he calls, I for sure check behind on the river and hope to see JJ.

I think the correct play here was to fold the flop aganist...

Re: i play bad

It was more of a freeze bet and since he hadn't seen me min-raise like that, I thought he wouldn't push w/out a better hand than I had. Hmmm, don't know about a 3bet there on the flop... Calling...

Re: Who is Dustin Dirksen?

I've played against him a lot on full tilt - he's for sure a decent player and has a good TAG style. Short-handed he can get laggy though and he pushes draws a lot. He seems to be running super hot...

Re: Line I usually don\'t take

I see TP crap Kicker a lot of the time here - maybe I've just been unlucky in those spots - I'm trying to value bet more liberally on the river now.

Line I usually don\'t take

5-10 6 max, I usually don't take lines like this, but maybe I should more often.

I have JJ and (~$3k). loose UTG (~$1k) limps, I raise to $45 w/ JJ, folds around and UTG calls. This opponent is...
