Re: not sure how to play these

Bet/fold the turn. Check/calling down is the worst option IMO.

Re: 2/4 - 99 OOP - Something a little different

Bump, why don't you guys consider folding the flop?

Re: What is the standard play with 99 in small blind?

If I 3bet from the SB I would never ever check/fold the flop. If it's scary to me it's scary to him so I bet.

Re: 2/4 : AA - where did I go wrong?

I played a very similar hand the other day and folded. Flop K44, turn 5 river Q. They had K5 and KQ so MHWG.

I like your line

Re: Quiz from Phil Gordon\'s website

I bet and 3bet this if it gets HU and I believe he can fold QQ and worse hands. If he puts you on a draw he will often put you on the flush draw as well so you have plenty of "outs" for taking the...

Re: Not raising with KK on good flop

For everyone that says raise the flop like it is a no brainer, I think you should look up SSHE "when the pot is extremely large". There are differences but the SSHE example is not much different than...

Re: Not raising with KK on good flop

I believe you are referring to SSHE, "protecting your hand when the pot is extremely large".
I'd say your line would be good if you replace the Q with a 9. Then waiting for the turn would be spot...

Re: 2/4 - 99 OOP - Something a little different

Why don't you guys fold the flop with bet-call-call in front and oop?

Re: A less clear hand to comment on for the esteemed panel

I prefer a preflop raise but there is nothing wrong with calling either.
I like a turn fold but I don't think it's a big mistake to call either.

Re: 2/4 - 99 OOP - Something a little different

I think I fold the flop. Anyone else?
I don't know what UTG+1 is donking with but probably either a T or flushdraw+overcards. Button probably has overcards and MP1 at least one overcard. It looks...

Re: Party 3/6, preflop capper check-raises turn

I'd really hate to fold this but it really looks like he has AA. I would probably call down and make him show me those aces though and make a note.

Re: Too much action given?

I like everything but I don't think you are winning once he 3bets the turn. He probably has AT or TT, probably not AK. I dont think he has a flush or a straight.

Re: Some hands for checkup

Hand 4: I don't like the check/call on the turn. If you were in position I can understand the check but oop, bet.

The rest looks fine, you ran into slowplays or 2 outers on the river I guess.

Re: 15/30 AK

[ QUOTE ]
3-betting the flop is terrible.

[/ QUOTE ]

It's not as good as waiting for the turn, but it's not "terrible".

Re: 70k check-up

I'm not sure you are down so much in BB only because of bad blind defence. You get to play hands in the big blind that you don't play in other positions. You are out of position as well. It could be...

Re: 70k check-up

I don't think you are waaay too tight but definately too tight. You should play looser on the button and CO, ie limp more and steal more.
My biggest concern is your abyssmal BB stats. You are -0.3...

Re: QQ vs. A high flop heads - up on the flop

I definately fold the turn here.
I also don't like the flop raise, I would just call this down or raise turn for a free showdown if I can fold to 3bet or a river donk.
