Re: Bad pre-flop call leads to confusion?

I'd sort of like to throw in a bet on the turn, giving a pocket pair a chance to fold (or possibly even KQ?), and assuming a call/raise means I'm beat UI, then check/folding the river.

Of course...

Re: Check raised by the lead bettor.. what does this mean?

He's check-raising you here because he knows you pretty much have to call it.

Therefore, it may not be such a bad move to dump it here. You're getting like 4-1 on a calldown, and I think you're...

Re: River Play?

I think you'll win this river more like 5% of the time depending on your opponent. If he wanted to bluff that heart he'd have done so on the turn. There's always the chance that he got the trip...

Re: against my villian - live 8-16 - HAND 1

i think you're just stuck for the bets on each street here. Not really worth it to find a raise anywhere, but i can't see folding unless it gets raised.

Re: My nine makes a straight, so lets cap the turn...

Why aren't you betting the flop? If button had already counted out his chips to bet with I could see check-raising the field, but otherwise you've got to get your bets in now, because your one-card...

Re: How horrible is folding second nut flush draw? (fairly LC)

the sweet thing about a 3-bet is that you're going to get a free card almost all the time. even if you're up against a flush they sometimes will try to get fancy and check-raise you on the turn.

Re: Question on Online casinos

I can see them rigging the play money in the players favor.

I can think of no better way to encourage the play money folks to switch to real. Except maybe by looking up their IP and finding their...

Re: 78s flops OESD - flop is capped

if there were a flush draw on the board we might be able to make some excuses to fold, but I think we've just got too big a piece of this board to fold.

If you call here the flop will be about 9...

Re: KQ with a limp reraiser

I never seem to employ the turn raise/free showdown play correctly, but I don't think this is a spot for it here.

MP is already gone, so at best you're punishing a semi-bluff, or charging him if...

Re: AA against Turn Action

Hmm. Well I would play AJs on the flop the same way as button probably. And I've seen people just cold call with TT-QQ, any of which I could also see 3-betting this flop (obviously some more...

Re: AA against Turn Action

Who do we have reason to believe we're behind? I think a flop 3-bet is coming from a a jack or an overpair as well as 2 pair or a set. There's probably a straight draw in someone else's hand...

Re: AA against Turn Action

I also like a flop cap and a turn lead here before slowing down.

Now whether to fold to two bets back to you after a turn lead... I think we can.

Re: i don\'t even want this draw anymore (broadway vs. possible full ho

[ QUOTE ]
Actually, my argument was not against the cap, but against the initial flop raise. Given villian's range, I think he is coming back with a 3-bet too often (by TT/JJ/KK/AA).

i don\'t even want this draw anymore (broadway vs. possible full house)

Pokerroom 2/4 (9 handed)

MP3 is new.
SB is a little fishy, I'd seen him call down a few hands where I had no idea what he had (pokerroom doesn't show mucked cards). stats 21/3/.5

Re: If you could have any tool for free, what would it be?

I'd like a tool that identifies the actions of a person so far (or they could be manually entered). Limp re-raise pre-flop, 4 people to the flop, check the flop, e.g. The program then digs through...

Re: i got pwned

Against someone more aggressive I wouldn't mind a turn check here-- villain likely has like 4 outs max against you (and likely fewer) if he's behind. However I doubt this guy needs too much of an...

Re: How\'s this AQo hand?

i'm not sure if you can clean up any outs here.

However, I don't think BB is going to call here without a piece of the board, and he may go ahead and call for two with any pair anyway. So I do...
