Re: Is the squeeze play getting overused now?

You are probably right, it does become + EV at a much lower confidence than 95%. However, my point is, if I'm putting all my chips in the middle on a squeeze play, I want to be highly confident it's...

Re: How many Final Tables did you make before your first win?

Honestly, had a hard time making one, keep finishing 10th, 11th, 12th. First final was a win in a 50 dollar at stars. Probably because most of my play was based on SNGs, felt comfortable waiting...

Re: Is the squeeze play getting overused now?

I honestly think the squeeze play was misapplied here. You have no read on EP+1 yet you're still willing to squeezing him? In HOH, he makes it very clear why he made the play he did. He knew Arieh...

Re: my wsop elimination hand

I'm not looking to get away from the hand...hence, the check raise...which I think is an aggressive play. If you read my post I say he's going to take significant damage here. However, if you make...

Re: my wsop elimination hand

One of the few ways I think you may have been able to get away here...although, with significant damage to your stack, would've been a check raise. In, SB vs. BB action, if I hit TPGK on a raggedy...

Re: Results and Thoughts

I don't see how a push isn't the right play. She's shown the set once to set that up in your mind and that's precisely what she wants you to believe she has here. I'm not going away on the river no...

Re: Taking the worst of it

Running QJ out against two hands seems like a lose lose situation to me. One double and he is back to close to the average. Seems like Barry was trying to isolate the original player but once it...

What\'s your line...on Stars 500?

I have no read on this player, so my range of hands is pretty large...he was just moved to the table.

Re: Stars 500K hand

I like the way you played it. I like being defensive with AQ because it ends up burning you otherwise.

Re: *Official* Stars 500k Guaranteed Sunday

Out 448th when I got short stacked and pushed AQ...called by AA.

Re: Multipart question...Stars 10 rebuy hand.

Maybe you're right bug, but my read is that he's going to laydown unless he has a monster.

Multipart question...Stars 10 rebuy hand.

At this point in the tournament I've decided to go into accumulation mode, I have a good table image. I have been picking up pots by being aggressive and have not had to show down any real hands. ...

Re: Paul Phillips WSOP Hand

I don't mind the call. I just think a push is more appropriate. Isn't the pot big enough to justify picking it up right now?

Re: I hate JJ

Hmmm...misread your stack size. Thought it said 2k. Your only bet on the turn that has any meaning would be a push. Tougher decision than I was making it out to be.

Re: Paul Phillips WSOP Hand

I'd probably make this call...however I honestly believe I would've been the one to push first. I like picking up that pot without a showdown and if you're called, you've got a great shot to win. ...

Re: I hate JJ

So why give him that chance? Bet it. If you get called again, you're probably done. Check the river and hope for a check behind you.

Re: Big flaws in my line here?

So he check raises you the minimum amount? Min raises are usually a weak play. I might consider coming back over the top for another 300 or so. Or as you did, I might just call and see the turn. ...

Re: I hate JJ

I'm betting the turn. If he's got a hand like K10 it's going to make him think about it. He could have 10/10 or 9/9 and he wants to get a line on your play...maybe he thinks you're making a...

Re: Too Aggressive In BB vs. SB?

I don't like a push at all with K10. Way too may spots to be dominated. A min raise is a great play from his spot because it invites action and if he's got a good line on your play he's going to...

Re: When you put them on a flush draw...

Well, I would've made the same bet with AQ as I would've with 10/10. I guess that's just the way I like to play. I'm willing to make a tough decision if he puts me to the test. Sure, it's...

Re: When you put them on a flush draw...

So as for my read, he had been calling with some marginal hands. I didn't think he would make this kind of play with AQ. I also didn't think he would make this kind of play with two pair, because I...

IMO, playing tens like that is bad unless you absolutely know that your opposition will pay you off. By the sound of the villian, I don't think he's that bright.
