Re: Post limits... brought up jokingly, however, could be good

Or PMing the mods/admins asking why? There are obviously many, many more legit new members than spammers so I think this would be counterproductive.

Re: Short Short-handed Question

I'd push and I don't think it's close. Blinds are about to take whatever folding equity you have away and it's not a bad hand. Sure, you don't want to get called necessarily but you've got a decent...

Re: PStars 180..2 Overs/Flush Draw/Gut Shot..facing raise/rereaise on

You're playing for your stack on the flop. So it's either push or fold. If you push, you're risking t1560 to win t2190 so you're getting 1.4 to 1 odds. You need to have 40% equity for it to be a...

Re: Friday Special: Double Draw, Call This Push?

I think he could have top pair, two pair, pair and a draw, etc. Something like AJ-A2 (with decreased chances the lower you go), KQ-KJ, maybe JJ. At best you're 56/44 making this very slightly EV.

Re: Friday Special: Double Draw, Call This Push?

I don't think you're getting proper odds. If anything, it's a neutral decision. You're getting 1.33 to 1 odds on the call. With 12 outs you're about a 1.4 to 1 dog. So it's not a horribly -EV call...

Re: Tournament rules quesiton

2 and 3 chop 2nd and 3rd

But again, every house can do stupid things and it's completely up to them. You should confirm rules in question with the TD.

Re: Super Thursday QQ Hand, On The Bubble

1/3 times an overcard will hit the flop. How will you play the hand? If the answer is fold, you should definitely raise pre-flop.

Re: Party Poker MTT, how\'s the blind structure?

Look at the stickied anthology for a thorough discussion of blind structures.

Re: Phil Gordon\'s \"Fish N Chip\" Sandwich

Nice catch. At 2.2 to 1 odds this is a neutral EV play making it a clear fold to me given I still have enough chips to play if I fold. Good concept. Almost a perfect situation.

Re: Come watch Adanthar beat me up

So what do you normally do? Just rebuy at the beginning and add-on, presuming you don't get stacked?

Re: JJ UTG post rebuy period

I think I'm folding pre-flop. You havent' played many hands so your UTG raise should come with respect (at least from the CO). The MP raise could mean almost anything if he's truly a LAG and not just...

Re: FT Sweat - Stars $5 Turbo, 22:39

Meh, I never look at those anyway. I'll put that one on Kneeco /images/graemlins/wink.gif (with almost everything else in the FAQ, of course).

Re: FT Sweat - Stars $5 Turbo, 22:39

Thanks for using the absolutely correct title per the FAQ! I'm going to push others to follow your example.

Re: Ahhhhh! The noise!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to try and impose a rule that all FT sweat threads comply with the requirements in the FAQ. Essentially, they need to begin with "FT Sweat" and include the site, buy-in, etc. Maybe that...

Re: Super Thursday QQ Hand, On The Bubble

I'm going crazy. I could have sworn I already responded. I'd raise pre-flop against a MP raiser. Flop and turn look pretty standard.

Re: 11r hand

Nope. Over 4 to 1 odds and the possibility of something other than AK-A8 is to great to fold. Looks pretty standard.

Re: 99 HU for Australia Package~

Why such a small pre-flop raise? On the flop, there's 5100 in the pot after he bets and you raise to 3400. So he's getting 1.5 to 1 odds. I think he need to raise more there. I'm done on the turn....

I really didn't understand why they remade this to begin with (of course I understand money, but besides that). The original was great. It would almost be like remaking Blazzing Saddles. Just no...

Ahhhhh! The noise!!!!!!!!!

Noise. Noise. Noise. It does get frustrating at times. The final straw for me happened tonight with a post about misreading a hand because the player fell asleep mid-tournament. Without coming down...

Re: Phil Gordon\'s \"Fish N Chip\" Sandwich

Against a range of 99+, AJ+ the hero is a 2 to 1 dog so he's getting appropriate odds against the range. I would still have a hard time pulling the trigger given I've got enough chips to play even if...
