Re: 15-30 Hand: Weak or Wonderful?
I don't like 3-betting AK out of position. I generally will just call. If I miss, I typically won't try a c/r on the flop, especially if it's multiway. I'd would either c/c--like you did, or c/f...

Re: 10/20 NL hand
Though I wasn't there, given your observations about the button, it definately feels like he flopped a set. You mentioned he was solid, i.e. the sort of player who would smooth call JJ with...

Re: Good time to fold AA?
Ummmmm, not a good fold. What had do you think the all-in guy holds that beats you? 66, 44 not likely. I would say a medium overpair like 88-TT or a strong flush draw, i.e. AQc or KQc. Not to...

EP+1 limps, folded to me in MP+2. KP22 has 99. I raise to $250. CO calls. Folded to EP limper who calls.
Flop 2h5hTx. EP+1 moves...

Re: Pokerroom 10/20 - good fold or too weak?
Sorry, pretty weak stuff there. The BB would likely make that play w/ almost any PP higher than 7's. Although you do have to consider that there a preflop raiser and caller already in the hand and...

Re: Hand Question (long)
Ummmm, raising was, of course correct. Calling is typically correct here too. 25K already in the pot, 15 more to call. This call is automatic. There's too much money in the pot to fold if he...

Well, he hasn't moved down to small-stakes HE forum yet, so assume it turned around for him.

Re: Calling when you might be drawing dead.
Thanks. I wasn't sure on what the correct play there is. It's a call I would automatically make if the board read 5588 or something of that texture, but I assumed w/ a raise from a solid player...

Playing this turn
First round $30 S&G. One limper, CO+1 raises to $60. Button calls, SB calls, I call w/ TT, limper calls.
Flop comes 778 rainbow. SB checks, I bet $250. Limper and raiser fold, button cold...

Re: Hows my line? ATs
I think it's pretty easy to read. I would bet the flop. Bet looks weaker than C/C, like maybe you're defining a hand like TT. I bet, hope to get raised, then make a play on the turn, or river. ...

Re: Quick exit in the 3k NL @ 5 diamond
I think what makes his play on the turn so profitable is that the raise doesn't look like a value bet at all. In that spot, I would assume he would make a smaller raise or simply smooth call the...

Calling when you might be drawing dead.
Co+1 raises, CO calls, Button calls, SB folds, I'm in the BB w/ JcTc and call.
Flop comes AcAh8c. I check PF raiser bets, everbody calls.
Turn 8d. I check. CO+1 bets and button calls. I...

Re: Should I value 3 -bet?
T9s is a hand that you could concievably loose a huge pot with if you make a flush. You can't really "value bet" a totally unmade hand like T9s before the flop.

I dunno' why you capped. I think you played the hand way too fast...just becuase someone is agressive it doesn't mean they can't sometimes beat TT

If at the beginning of a session, I might call down for information...you want to know how he would play a draw, or if he's capable of semi-stealing the turn.

Re: Typical preflop situation
Yeah the implied odds are sweet if you flop a set, with a hand like 66 you're still vunerable to loosing a huge pot to an overpair that flopped top set. If you're up against two overpairs--you are...

I think you're just getting deceptively lucky...not to knock mixing it up, but you're making negative EV preflop raises and then hitting disguised monster. For everytime you drag a big pot with a...

Re: 30/60 Bellagio Hand
Though a successful execution of the infamous "trifecta" would have been fun, I think, given your read on the raiser, I might check/call the turn and let him bluff at you on the river.

Re: Party Poker Passive Priver
I think raising might actually loose a bet. The other two players overcalled the river...that's one bet more than a raise would likely acomplish. If it was 3-bet you couldn't cap...the bettor could...

Re: Very Very Simple $15/30 Situation

Re: tough flop 15/30
I raise the flop just to see how the bettor reacts. I might bet the turn, though I would probably check with the intention of calling a bet on the river. The PF raiser could easily hold KK w/ a...
