LC - Odds of hitting specific runner runner straight

I tried doing this myself, but I'm not that big of a math guy per se. Supposing the following situation:

AK vs. JT

Flop: Q X X

What are the odds of an ace hitting the turn, and king...

Re: A situation I hate

This truly sucks. You almost have to fold as it isn't worth risking basically all of your chips. If you lose this hand you certainly will be dead, if you win it, your odds of cashing don't increase...

Re: $11 - 1st hand 22

Fold preflop. On the flop, what is that saying...no set...something, something, oh yeah...no bet.

Odds of seating in a multi-table tourney

Suppose you and a friend enter a NL Hold'em tournament with 500 entrants. What are the odds that you and your friend will be seated at the same table when the tournament starts, assuming 10 players...

I thought Dodge Ball was a bad movie until Chuck Norris appeared in it. Then I realized it roundhouse kicks Citizen Kane in the face.

Re: Playing Pocket 7\'s from middle position

Given how rare you'll be up against a bigger set, I think its reasonable to go full speed ahead and happily cap every street. Either way, you will win a huge pot in this situation more times than...

Re: 6-7 suited in MP

[ QUOTE ]
Am I the only one that doesn't like pumping the idiot end of the straight draw here?? With 8 other limping hands out there, hands like JT, QJ, QT are pretty likely, and it sucks pumping a...

Re: 6-7 suited in MP

Perhaps, but its reasonable to assume that MP3 would bet, so your thinking was sound here, and seeing that MP3 checked as well, its easy for an outside observer to criticize you, and also easy for...

Re: KK takes heat

Hard to imagine what that turn check meant, but if I were you I'd be fine with it. Checking the turn is fine, calling the river is mandatory considering the pot odds and the oddity of villain's...

Re: 88 on the button

I'd likely raise the turn, call if 3-bet, call a river bet U/I, raise if improved (obviously).

Given that hero called the turn, is there anything wrong with simply calling the river, rather than...

Re: I Quit My Day Job

Let me preface this by saying that I am not a winning player, and have no intention of quitting my "day job" to play poker for a living (good thing considering I can't beat the game). I think a lot...

Not even a question, clear call on the river. Also from Mr Harrington's book (which incidentally has nothing to do with low-limit hold 'em), "beware of the great overthink." In this spot, you're...

Re: dumb people and their dumb pocket pairs

What the hell is going on here. Is OP serious? So BB is supposed to fold a weak steal attempt with a low pocket pair? If he hits the flop (which he did) he could take all or most of your chips...

Re: $55: AJs - Play a TPTK Hand That\'s a Disaster with a Non-Master

In my view, pushing preflop is certainly an option. The limpers in front of you would have likely raised with hands that dominate you, and may not have as much to call you with should you push as...

Re: KQo Live at the Wynn <3

You're getting about 5 to 1 on a call on the river (unless you believe the SB will reraise of course). Is a straight good in this situation 1 out of 5 times? I'd call myself, unless I had a major...

Re: Raised on the river

Its an unfortunate result to a promising looking situation, until the river raise. Its like anything else, a raise usually indicates strength, and I'd say in this spot you're beat 90% of the time...

Great job, this is usually a spot where I am content to check it down, but obviously his check presented an opportunity for a value bet, which I usually miss.
