Re: Future Religion

I think you'd get a lot more interesting responses if you asked this question of the atheists. My guess is that the theists feels that since Thor/Zeus/Jahve/Their god of choice is the one true god,...

Re: Lay Down a Full House?

An interesting excercise would be to figure out what the villain has that prompted the OP to post this hand. My guess is 99.

Re: Books on investing/stock market for begginers?

Okay, a better analogy would be the horsetrack I guess.

If you're serious about investing for the long term, the best books for beginners are both by Benjamin Graham http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjamin_Graham.

Re: Scandinavia state of mind

So, again, if your gang is big enough, lynching is legitimate?

That's the trouble unfortunately with Democracy.

Re: Defending the blind

I'm definitely folding the turn after he raises you. You reraised him preflop, and check-raised him when two aces came out on the flop.

The way it was played out up to the point where he raised...

You guys have gotta stop quoting the wrong people! the above post just confused the hell out of me!

Re: KJo 4-handed

I'd raise/fold the river if another club fell and call after a T of non-clubs.

Re: Can I raise this turn?

[ QUOTE ]
During the hand I was quite sure BB had a lower pair or just overcards. I was more worried about the SB.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you're certain BB does not have you beat, then I tend to...

Re: Can I raise this turn?

[ QUOTE ]
I think I would call and then check/fold behind on the river if a non-T comes off.

[/ QUOTE ]

so you advocate to call getting 10-1 on a 22-1 draw? Surely that is not good advice. ...

Re: Can I raise this turn?

This is a tough hand to analyze accurately, especially without reads.

But what does BB have? He raised preflop, called SB's bet and your raise on the flop and now when SB bets on the turn he...

Re: Peeling on a thin red line with KK?

I like calling here, between the 3 of them someone has an ace and this being 1/2 nobody is going to fold a pair of aces.

Re: A4s slowplay?

I fold or raise this hand preflop, but if I've called it, I'll call the raise too I guess. I like the flop and turn play, except I would cap the turn. Now in your situation I would bet the river and...

Re: $55: Interesting trend I\'ve noticed recently

I only play $10+1's so your mileage may wary, but the other day I had a hand where I felt the opponent had only high cards and I went all-in on a bluff. He then thought for a while, called me with Q...

Re: Small set from UTG.

I like it. Sometimes I would raise the flop in this situation to try and lose a few customers and often the people behind would cold-call the 3 bet anyway. But other times I would call the flop...

Re: valuebet this?

I am folding this pf, with a couple of limpers QTo can't figure to be very good even on the button. But if the fold button wasn't working, I might raise it half the time and limp the other half...

Re: Should I have smooth called this turn?

Given your read on the player I think you should've just called.

It seems to be the classic case of way-ahead-or-way-behind in which case you either pay 2 bets now and fold to a re-raise or call...

Re: Party Skin 1/2 (6-Max) Win Rates

I have 19k hands at party 1/2 tables with a winrate of slightly less than 4 and I wasn't running too well when I started out, so I think a long term sustainable win-rate would be between 4 and 4.5.

Re: Reraise the turn?

It's tough to say for certain what MP1 has in this hand, but my guess would be that he is either semi-bluff checkraising you with a flush draw or the 8 made him a big hand like a set of 8s or two...

What to do (A4 in SB gets a good flop, or ?)

This happens fairly often to me. I complete the SB with an ace and a crappy kicker. I check it on the flop to see what happens which is probably a mistake. But what do I then do when it comes back to...

Re: AA hand, did I put on the brakes too soon?

I think that was probably the upside from checking the flop. You planted the idea in his head that you had AQ og AK, and he never changed his mind so he kept betting his pair thinking you hadn't...
