Re: (5$) Trouble with short handed play in SNG\'s

Your style on the bubble should be largely based on two things.

1. Your opponents styles
2. Your stack size relative to the blinds

Versus loose opponents, I would try and steal less due to...

Re: 55 second hand

On the flop I might just consider folding this. By raising off the flop, you put a large portion of your stack at risk while the blinds are relatively low and when you cannot be sure if you have the...

Re: $11 PR Bubble Qxs reraised

Are pot odds such that I should call anyway?

[/ QUOTE ]

You are getting 3-1, I'd call but I wouldn't be happy about it.

Re: $22 66 on bubble, shortstacked, your play?

I agree with calling. If the raiser takes down the blinds or doubles up, this really puts you in a bad spot. With calling, you've given yourself a good chance of being ITM.

Re: Bubble questions.....

[ QUOTE ]

Back to your push. If we give BB any credit here, assigning him the calling range he SHOULD consider, your A6o becomes a very clear push. Even giving him TT+,AQs+,AKo, we get to push...

Should #2 be pushing on the Button a lot?

[/ QUOTE ]
This is a pretty ambiguous question. Do you have any sort of read on this guy? If you do, then you should know what to do. ...

Re: poker play during finals week????

i like to avoid poker during exams/project time for a few reasons

1. the slight chance of screwing up on a final and getting a crappy grade is much more significant than playing a few hours of...

Re: 33 PP: AQs vs Short Stack

i may be going out on a limb here, but i'm guessing that you lost the hand. in poker its important to not be result oriented, whether you won or lost the hand is irrelevant, as you want to make the...

Re: push with mid pocket pairs?

i agree here,

if you had less than 4x BB or so id say go ahead and take a flip, as you won't have much FE when u try and push later

Re: (5) AQs on the button

my opinion is that the blinds are small here, and there is no reason to be calling two raises, albeit 1/15th of your chips. you really have no safe flop here besides Qxx, and even there you cant be...

Re: Step Higher 3: 55 four handed, even stacks.

well since youve decided to be LAG youre opponent probably recognizes this and pushes with a wide range of hands

anyway if you win the probable coin flip youre in pretty good shape, with the...

i agree here
with a deuce on the turn either he is running a complete bluff or has a strong hand, unless he is a very LAG i fold here

Re: Your move on the flop?

i think u need to raise more preflop given all the callers
this makes the postflop decision hard because i would expect him to call with a large variety of hands
id fear 22/77 here, but wouldnt be...

Re: Flopped TP/good kicker against a semi-LAG, routine fold?

Seems to be a decision based upon you're read.
If he's got a flush draw, or anything less than AQ you're at least 2/3 favorite.
If not you're 3 outted.

Re: Maximizing profit with AA and position

I agree here
This looks like one of those hands where you'll win a small pot or lose a big one.

Re: way ahead/way behind with QQ

IMO call/call is way to passive, especially with middle set. The only thing I might change here is checking on the flop.
