Re: The elusive fold aces preflop situation:Does it exist and was this

I think with the payout structures being how they are, I'd call the all-in. If you win, you'll be in a good place to win the whole thing which is a lot better than getting third if you fold here and...

Thanks for the coupon! Picked up HoH v.2 for $22. I think I'll go back today and pick up GSIH... should be around $14 with the coupon.

Re: Why do you play internet poker?

Yeah I'm pretty much in this boat. My salary is definitely not meager but I play poker to make a little extra fun money and have a good time. So far I've bought a laptop and a Dell 2001FP LCD with...

Re: Why i hate $2-$4 in AC!!

I only went down there with $200 for the weekend so i am willing to give up a small amount of profit if it gives me less chance to get drawn out on

Why in God's name would you check this flop?

Quick Tahoe Trip Report

Thought I'd post this in case anyone is wondering about the games in North Shore. I don't think I've seen anything on 2+2 about it. Not a very exciting report but here goes...

Re: Stop N Go...Using An Agressive Player To Protect My Aces

That's exactly the example I was thinking of when I saw this hand. Does anyone here like the line of check/calling the flop and then betting the turn, hoping your opponent will raise your bet and...

Re: AKo late positio

The flop is an auto-bet IMO. Hero has two overcards+backdoor straight. Even if he doesn't have the best hand he can improve and betting will possibly knock a player out of the hand.

Re: The Call Down Series of Poker

Thanks for the verbal beating all. Consider me slapped.

Good thing I posted that though, as I think I've been missing out on some value bets.

Re: The Call Down Series of Poker

I check this river. The flush came, an overcard came, and your opponent is still here. What hands will he just call with that you beat?

Someone feel free to bitch slap me if this is too passive...

Re: AQ faces a stop-and-go

I like your analysis but I think the odds of being reverse-dominated are pretty small. Also, against a passive opponent I'm always raising here because I'm extremely likely to get a free card, EVEN...

Re: How to invest almost 7BB from the SB with 54s...anyone else play t

I think you played it fine. Sucks that he got there on the river but you definitely had the odds PF and couldn't know you were going to get LRR'd.

Re: QJ flops top pair in a difficult situation...

The flop isn't very threatening. I may just call the bet and raise a harmless turn card.

Re: AQ faces a stop-and-go

Hero is getting 8-1 when it's a bet to him on the flop and the opponent is saying he probably doesn't have the 7 (otherwise he'd probably either C/R now or C/C then C/R the turn). I like a raise for...

Re: Marginal Holding OOP

My line begins with betting that flop, obviously! Why are you checking? No one has shown strength yet, so it could very easily get checked through. Plus, you get someone to bet and you just call......

Re: AQ faces a stop-and-go

I dunno, I'm throwing a raise in there at some point. Either on the turn or river. The only reason I'd wait til the river is to let him keep betting his pocket pair or his 5. I don't see him betting...
