Re: Should my chips be in here?

In a cash game I might just call on the river with your hand because I don't wanna be reraised with deep stacks. But in a tournament having a bigger stack than the others is relevant. This guy will...

Re: In Your Experience, What Percentage of Poker is Skill vs. Luck?

Barry Greenstein claims in 'Ace on the River' that a good player has a 3% edge in the long run if he plays in typical games. That may not seem like a lot, but remeber that house edge in blackjack is...

Rigged. Everyone knows Party is rigged to help bad players. After your horrible preflop cold call and flop call, the Party Rigging Engine rewarded you with a set. Unfortunately, your raise...

Re: I hate poker

Position doesn't matter if you flop a set. It's even easier with a hand like 22 because you either set or fold. If it's 7.5 to 1 to flop set or better than you only need to make $20.62 or more off...

Re: I hate poker

If the raise is 5% or less of your and the raisers total stack then you should call with any pocket pair. Implied odds.

Yup. Your opponent has just enough in his stack to possibly make this call....

$22 180 hand, calling on all streets.

Villian is very active and aggressive, but not quite in a maniacal way. He raises hands like K7s from MP and will continuation bet all streets when he misses.

Re: The unabashed thoughts of a modern man

Not a lot of people will read this whole thing. But I think it's quite a good read. Reminds me of chapter 37 from the book "White Noise" by Don Dellio. You should read it if you haven't, I think...

Re: 5-10 live and a proper free showdown play. (I think)

Re: 5-10 live and a proper free showdown play. (I think)

I sometimes raise this preflop in this position (or UTG) or even a hand like 98s, and sometimes I just call. It depends on how much I've been raising at that point and if they've seen me bet flop and...

5-10 live and a proper free showdown play. (I think)

Ten handed at Greektown. The SB is a typical 5-10 player here. Probably sees 38% of the flops and can't help but bet when checked too. And won't 3bet or even raise on the big streets without a...
