Re: Raising Overcards on the Flop.

[ QUOTE ]

One of the frustrating things about this hand is that your desire to gain fold equity and your desire to take off a free card basically run counter to each other.

Re: KK Capped Multiway, Terrible Position

I can't find a bet here. W. Deranged is right... you're getting raised way too often here. I don't know 3betting range of CO, but him checking the flop through either means a complete miss or a...

Sorry, reference to season 2, which you haven't seen. I should get you the CD's next time I see you.

On the other hand, how are you going to raise someone wearing a $7,000 dollar suit? COME ON!

Re: JJ Against a Giant Nit

While I have no idea who this "Margeaux" character is, I think raising the flop is great. He's likely to 3 bet, or at the very least donk bet the turn (I have a feeling he loves the donk bet, just...

Re: Is Stud dead?

[ QUOTE ]
Should a good Holdem player add Omaha to his quiver before trying stud or vice versa?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think stud adds some tools to your hold em game that simply adding Omaha can't. ...

Re: AQo line

River bet is fine. His line to me seems like KQ or 87 are most likely, though w/ a VPIP of 24 and a low PFR, KQ in this position w/ that aggression rating seems a little more likely. Nice Hand,...

Re: standard postflop after UTG bluff???

I'm 3 betting the river. Since you raised UTG pre-flop and the K and Q of /images/graemlins/diamond.gif are out on board, and since you raised the flop, it's not obvious you've hit your flush......

Re: C/Raised with top 2 on turn by passive pre flop capper

w/ a 2 PFR I can't put him on AQs. His line is reasonable w/ AA and the A /images/graemlins/spade.gif, KK, QQ and he could have something like AK w/ A /images/graemlins/spade.gif, but I think this...

Re: bloody JJ and overcard on flop

cold calling here does not always mean a king... do you have stats on him or any idea what his cold-calling standars are. His line also could mean another under pair, something like 77-10 10, a...

Re: TT on the button. Variant on a theme.

Deeb,

I feel that 3 betting preflop then folding to a flop donk just draws a giant vag on my forehead for this new guy to attack. I like raising the flop over folding because I'm not sure which...

Re: TT on the button. Variant on a theme.

If I have no previous data on the villian, I'm raising the flop and folding to a 3 bet. Your play makes it plausable that you have AK or stronger, and if he 3 bets OOP it scares me just a bit, and I...

Re: Hit my 2 outer for trips on 4th street, how to make the most profit?

I think you have to check raise the turn here. Your goal should be trying to extract 3 BB total on the turn and rive here. Too often I think players try to check call, check raise the river and...

Re: \"Do You Play Check and Raise?\"

Re: \"Do You Play Check and Raise?\"

sorry, should have said "low mid limit" but this mostly happens at games around 10-20. For those who haven't played the Foxwoods 10-20 stud game, it really is that bad at times.

Re: \"Do You Play Check and Raise?\"

I've thought about this, but I find two problems w/ it.

a) even if I can beat the game w/ out c/ring, it's a powerful enough tool that it is +EV. In other words, c/ring allows me to beat it...

Re: TP on a scary board - where to find the fold?

I'm mucking the river here. w 14/9, and him limping in, we're putting him on basically the top half of limping hands that a standard 19/9 player would have. In this position, that could be two...
