Re: I\'m moving down (LC)

Dropping a level after a huge down swing shows good judgment, many who don't have the discipline to do so will blow their whole roll.

There's no shame in this whatsoever, and most have had to do...

Re: I\'m thinking of quitting my job

I'm near your age, and have been playing online poker for a living for around 1 1/2 years.

It is so not easy. Why is this?
After about 6 months I hit a major wall due to burn out. The monotony...

Re: Bodog Bonus \"Whoring\" Question

No, this won't work. You'll likely be labeled a bonus abuser the first time you do this and longer get bonus money at Bodog ever again.

It's my guess they lowered the bonus to 10%, & started...

I play alot there, & have never seen this before.

Anyone else getting this?

Re: i used to be good.....

I think we all underestimate the luck factor in poker, to some extent anyway.

Perhaps you were running especially hot last year, and things have stabilized a bit.

Also, I've noticed the online...

Re: What happened to Prima?

Last year at this time the NL 100 & NL 200 games on Prima were crazy loose. I doubled up nearly every K/K & A/A hand, and also when I hit a set. (Barring Suckouts)

I've tried Prima a few times...

Re: betholdem sucks at accounting...

I had a negative experience with BHE a few months back.

I made a deposit, played some poker for about a week, and when I went to make a withdrawal they told me I hadn't cleared my sportsbook bonus...

Re: Post College Depression

Excellent analogy...

I'll have to remember this the next time I try to convey to someone just how stressful it is playing poker for a living.

Re: Attn. Railbirds: 100/200 at Prima ($220,000 Stack)

The game has since broken up (3:20 a.m PST), down to two, both sitting out with Falting's stack at $178,000 & Hellraisers & 67,000, who took about $40K off him in the last 30 minutes.

Attn. Railbirds: 100/200 at Prima ($220,000 Stack)

For those who like to observe the high rollers, Falting has a stack of $220,000 right now (2:30 a.m PST)in a 5 handed game.
Anyone ever seen a stack this size before in an online game?

Re: Change in Bodog\'s Bonus

Ya, this stinks.

I was disappointed when I received the same email.
I've been playing alot at Bodog these past few months.

I've been making about two $1000 deposits a month, and clearing the...

Re: How many days/week do you play?

I'll go back four months here; I have records for another year prior, but this should give you some idea.
Although, one year ago I played ALOT more.

March- 14 Days
April- 19 Days
May - 20...

Re: AA gets in trouble.

Given villains flat call of your flop bet, a turn check is fine here, esp. since he's an uber tighty.

Calling the river is fine, he's either got a monster (8/8 or Quads) or Q/Q or K/K.

I'm with...

Re: AA hands

Hand one:
Raise more preflop. You're letting him in too cheaply here.

That's a very scary board to slow play top set.
Definitely lead out here, unless you've got a real aggressive player who...

Re: I play bad 2/5NL (probably low content)

As would I, but you seem certain the other two players in the pot will fold, how do you know they aren't waiting to do the same thing, & call you're all in with a PP, or A/K or something.

Re: I play bad 2/5NL (probably low content)

I don't like the play.
You have little folding equity with your baby stack against the other two non lag opponents.

This is just a big gamble.

I would have reloaded, & waited for a better...

Re: What do you buy with your FPP\'s???

I have a ton of Fpp's at Stars.

I've ordered only one thing so far though, & that's the poker chips set.

It arrived about two weeks ago, & I'm impressed with the quality of the set.

Although...

Re: bodog cash out problems/ funds locked--warning

I've done a few cashouts from Bodog with no problems.

This is scary though, as I have 5k in my Bodog account right now.

Let us know how this turns out, I hope it gets resolved for you.

Re: HELP - I keep getting killed with AA

What's with the uber weak, P/F raise? You may as well limp with them if you're going for deception, as a 3X the BB raise will allow all types of hands in with you.

As it was, you want to bet more...
