Well duh! :)
I considered that, of course, as a big reason for the discrepancy. I'll have to check where I was playing the hands from, though -- I might play A7o UTG more, and maybe that's getting me into...

Report for my very first trip to a B&M (FOXWOODS)
After playing poker online for a few months I finally got off my butt and decided to visit a real-live B&M on Thursday – and damn, I’m glad I did. Not because I won a lot of money (At the tables I...

Re: Was I beat, or just bluffed???
It's sooo easy for him to have an ace, I think you'd have to be nuts to call here. I can't see him going all-in without an ace. If he did, well, more power to him. I just don't see it.

You and Kong are both morons.
It's infinitely preferable to flop NOTHING, then catch a set on the turn and quads on the river. Cap the flop and the turn, of course, because you know the quads are coming.
The big bonus is that...

I\'m calling and
probably check-calling to the river if I don't improve. If nothing else I find out whether this guy raises for a free card -- the other guys are right. Someone could raise with a straight draw or a...

Re: David Sklansky, Cannibal
Hilarious article! Though I very much doubt that at Club X,
"[Slansky would] gnaw his own arms off and run screaming around the card room, blood gushing from his useless shoulders."
But his...

RESULTS
His raise was lightning-quick. I figured he'd reraise like that with either a medium or high pocket pair, a king, or a decent-sized diamond (maybe with the other card paired with the flop). With a...

Re: Raise TT on the river? #2
Because it's Party you shouldn't just consider JJ, KK, and AQ, you should consider AK and AA as well /images/graemlins/smile.gif.
I'd call and when he showed me AK/AA thought "Boy do I love Party...

Re: Raise TT on the river? #1
First let me say that while I'm not sure it's optimal, if it's a very loose table I generally call with TT in that position, hoping to get 5 or 6 callers and flop a set -- on a tight table, raise and...

Re: HU Suited flop -- how would you play it?
Hey, Q2s is better than the average hand, so why not make the BB pay to see a flop /images/graemlins/grin.gif. I admit this is a pretty marginally pf raise against someone I think is on the...

Re: 3 Hands from $5-$10 online
I cheated by looking at the results before replying, but here's what I would have said:
1) Check-call. Most would say Check-fold, but it's Party. Well, I'm assuming it's Party the way AJ 3-bet the...

HU Suited flop -- how would you play it?
This happened in a shorthanded game (5/10 Party) but I'll post it here as the situation is almost equally applicable to a full ring game -- and people keep talking about SH games in this forum...
