Re: need help with pot odds
Louie,
I have a small problem with your logic regarding the outs. for the flush part I think it should be 4 to 1. what you are not considering is if, with 2 cards to come, I don't hit the turn, I...

Re: How do I overcome the bad and lucky players?
Pizza, the main problem you need to get over is what Roy Cook calls "results oriented". Ed Miller in his new book says there would be no profit in poker if it wasn't for these poor players. Your...

Re: Poker Books and the Reality of Modern Poker
Try "Complete book of Texas Hold-Em" by Gary Carson. While the over-all book has been debated in the book/software section of 2+2, he does have a very good section on Morgan's theorm, where he...

who slow plays this?
At new card room in Milwaukee, few soft spots, but generally a sound 20/40 game. Look down and see KK in UTG postion and make it 2 bets to go. Get 3 callers, MP, CO, and the botton, both blinds fold....

Re: Party 30/60...observing, does hero c-r river?
I don't think our hero would raise pre-flop with JJ or TT. He would reraise pre-flop with AA and probly KK. He has AK and when the Qc comes he would call one sb with two over cards and a back door...

maybe you sir should review how much suited cards adds to your expected EV.
On 12/08/03 01:18PM you posted an absolute muck not even close to ATo UTG. To this post the same hand suited is a raise...

NO! NO! NO! NO!
"since I hadn't played a hand in a few orbits" is no valid criterian for playing a hand now. Play your A game or go home.
"my default is to raise ATs UTG" this is barely a good...
