Re: Secession: Benefits and Drawbacks?
If you can't assume red or blue along the current boundries, then what little relevance this discussion has vanishes. If only blue counties were to secede, we would have the most fractured mish mash...

Re: Conservative blinders?
I apologize. I'm afraid I based my assumption on only a few posts I read today. I tend to be an on again off again poster as I get frustrated with these types of discussions, yet I also love to have...

Re: Agree! And teachers should.....
So now, the judiciary is liberal as well? A common thread amongst the conservative posters here seems to be that if anything opposes the conservative agenda, it must necessarily be anti...

Conservative blinders?
I assume by "Regulator," you mean you make sure that as many people as possible hear your conservative viewpoint. I think enough studies have shown that liberal people are likely to be more educated...

Re: Secession: Benefits and Drawbacks?
Actually, California (one of the top economies in the world) derrives most of its income from Agriculture. Once we kick all of the Conservative CEOs to the leftover US properties, we should be able...

Re: Scaring Up Democratic Votes
I remember some time ago having some inane discussion after I argued that improving the standard of life in the Middle East could solve many of the problems there. What happened to all of the people...

Re: No child left behind...
The NCLB act is complete BS. It promises funds but only after schools reach certain goals which are difficult to attain without more money. It also is grossly unfair to underprivlaged schools, which...

Re: OPS+
I thought you might make a response like this and I should have been more clear. Yes his walk numbers are somewhat inflated by pitchers not giving him much, but he still was intentionally walked more...

Re: OPS+
I still don't think this evidence flies. Even if Bonds used steroids, his accomplishments given so few at bats are things that I doubt steroids could influence. McGwire (now there's an example of...

Re: More On Bonds
Steroids or no, Bonds is one of the most amazing ball players ever to play the game. Every Giants game I watch is practically in anticipation of his next at bat.

Re: Bob Dole Weighs In

If you already think that we don't understand each other, then you should try to make more specific and clearly-stated criticisms. Like offer an example.

Re: Bob Dole Weighs In
This post is so full of unilateral assumptions and overgeneralizations that I think you must not have thought it over very much. Are you saying that Iraq would have launched a nuclear attack against...

20 pages?
That seems light for a graduate level paper. I've written at least one 20+ paper each year as a an undergrad thus far (I'm entering my 4th year). Maybe I just have bastard professors.

Re: Bush the Flip-Flopper
You have to be a senator to be for or against something? I guess we'd all better stop posting then.
