Re: blind stealing with suited connectors

exactly. which is why i added "in tight games." i have learned the hard way not to steal blinds from those who will never fold.

blind stealing with suited connectors

in tight games where the blinds are either folding or 3betting your steal raise, is it wrong to steal the blinds with middle suited connectors and suited one-gappers from the CO and button? because...

Re: missing money on eurobet

i'm more inclined to think that the cashier number is what the truth is, and the stats and pokertracker are just missing hands, but it is still unsettling. it's not like live when you can count the...

Re: missing money on eurobet

i've seen this before and never thought much of it since it was never a difference of much money, and always just trusted the cashier more than pokertracker, concluding that it must have just missed...

missing money on eurobet

this is going to sound totally controversal, and i'm almost never one to say things like this, but.. i've noticed something strange with eurobet lately. when done with a session, my pokertracker...

Lack of EP Respect

A bunch of sites now feature primarily tight players in the 1/2 to 3/6 stakes. Sites like the ex-skins and pokerroom network are good examples of players who are mainly bonus whoring, playing...

Re: rake calculations (crosspost)

for some, not much, but probably enough to show what rake costs for a tight player. i'll also include my VP$IP, which probably affects how much rake one pays. here's the post copied from the...

rake calculations (crosspost)

no one in the internet forum seemed interested in this thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=0&Number=4281819&an=0&page=0#Post4281819), but i'm sure some of you in SSH would...

rake calculations

i did a little math from my "total rake" in pokertracker and came up with the following figures of rake that i paid. each limit i've played a decent sample size to come up with these. does all this...

Re: PokerRoom 5/10

well, i've been 3tabling PR 3/6 full ring nonstop the past few days, with the occasional smattering of 2/4 due to the lack of decent 3/6 games during the day. i have to say, i've never seen so many...

Re: Adjusting my play -- PP 2/4 to AC live 4/8

[ QUOTE ]
the borgata was my favorite room there. 4/8 live is usually even fishier than 2/4 PP. don't be afraid to limp in late position with good multiway hands...most flops go 5-7 handed. other...

3/6 vs 5/10

I'm sure, so sure, that this has been discussed to death. But searches yielded slim results because searching for terms "3/6 5/10" don't come up with much specific. If you would be so kind as to...

Re: Stepping up

[ QUOTE ]
So for someone who does like shorthanded would you suggest moving to 5/10 15/30? Or is Shorthanded 3/6 a must before moving higher?

[/ QUOTE ]

You want to move from 1/2 or 2/4...

Re: Stepping up

3/6 full on party blows, unless you're very good at outplaying wannabe TAGs. try 3/6 6max, but don't play with anything less than a 500BB roll.

Re: AKs, big pot and I miss

in your game, it's perfectly reasonable to believe someone could have already flopped a straight. barring that, even if only your ace is good, you can give yourself 4 outs (add 1 out for your BDFD)....

Re: prop salary

so it has nothing to do with the stakes that the prop plays nor how much the house is making on the game the prop is playing in? or it varies from place to place?

prop salary

what do b&m props generally make? a percentage of the stakes they're playing per hour, or a percentage of the rake or time collected per hour?

Re: PokerRoom 5/10

When I'm actually playing for money (read:no bonus) I'm playing 3/6 6max on Party. I know short handed games are where the money's at right now. But given the nature of PokerRoom's rake and the...

Re: PokerRoom 5/10

I am sure Party's 5/10 is better. I'm just trying to figure out the most profitable and time effective way of clearing this $600 Euro bonus. The SH tables are soft but the rake negates the bonus.
