Re: Poker Tracker\'s Auto Rate

I try and use PT together with my notes. Get initial read from PT and then watch to see how much/little each player conforms to the autorate.
I also like it because Im not good at remebering names,...

Re: Poker Tracker\'s Auto Rate

Why? I agree you can't rely on them as much in NL, but its nice to sit down at a table and already know who is the fish and who is the maniac without even playing with them. This can help greatly...

Re: folding with decent odds to call?

I hate these situations because you are getting decent odds to call him down, but at the same time its hard to put him on a hand you beat besides a total bluff. Personally, this smells like an 8...

Re: On a 30,000 hand downswing.....

I would totally agree with Grunch on this one, you can never know for sure about luck, so you might as well look at your game. For what its worth, whenever I play really poorly or on tilt its when I...

Re: Question about probabilities

just my two cents,
A) in some cases I might raise for value. Folding seems like a very weak line and calling gives you nothing new to work off of on the turn. To me you have a hand good enough to...

Re: Eurobet \"Not a valid win32 application\"

just stop wasting your time with eurobet. their new bonus is a rip off, and they are so unimaginative that they are now using poker room instead of party. just switch to poker room if u like...

Re: Eurobet\'s new bonus:

I did a little quick math after seeing this. If I play 4 tables to the tune of 240 hands per hour. (these are all estimates BTW) and I only play 15% of my hands, that leaves me with 36 hands entered...

Re: Is Nothing Possible?

seems like the problems stems from the way humans think. We love to make analogies so when we think of "nothing" we first think blank sheet of paper, well how about space... theres nothing there. but...

Re: do we have free will?

didnt mean to imply anything about your own beliefs, but I was just wondering why the scope of answers for questions is so limited to what can reasonably be call religious ones.

Re: do we have free will?

"No. If the universe is deterministic, man can not have free will. But there are ways to not have free will that doesn't depend on the universe being determinstic."

Good point, I guess I was a...

Re: do we have free will?

I don't claim to know a lot about quantum mechanics, but I do know that in order to believe in a deterministic universe you have to ignore it almost completely.

I think there is a Buddhist...

the death of my grandparents strengthened my athiesm for sure. I think it was the first time that I really became in touch with my own mortality and my view of reality. I realized that we will all...

Re: Who are the Rich?

really depends on where you live. I live in the SF bay area and the housing prices are insane, what is only livable in some places can be substantially more in others.

Re: For Pro-Choice

I think you have some good points here. I honestly think that an abortion really should be a last option, not an action taken lightly. It bothers me a great deal that many women who have abortions...
