Re: Help a sit-n-go player who doesn\'t understand deep stack heads-up

I am in no way a skilled HU-player, but in the low-stake STTs I play a lot of ($20+2 buy-in) I find that I outplay most of the players I meet HU. My experience is that there's one key-point in...

Fold or call with JJ?

Stars $20+2 MTT, $1000 for 1st place. 30 players left out of 180. Your cards have been stone cold and you've seen no more than 11 flops all night, but been lucky and doubled with AA and tripled with...

Hey Don, no need to defend my case, but thanks anyway.

I just think badmouthing other players - at the table or in the forums - is a sad approach. Be friendly and be...

Re: Fold it or call the big stack?

You did the right thing in my opinion. If it's folded to me on the button and I hold a premium pair I prefer to limp - especially if the blinds are aggressive - with the intention of checkraising or...

Oh, come on! The guy is asking for advice - which is what the forums are for. No need to make him feel stupid.

Re: Horrible play and an expensive reminder

You make the first mistake when you just call the all-in from the middle player. Never just call an all-in when there's a live player behind you - raise significantly to shut him out in order to get...

Here\'s how the newbie analizes the hand:

I thought maybe it could be interesting for the sharks to see how an amateur view this. Would make it easier for you to gobble up a fish the next time around /images/graemlins/smile.gif So here's...

Re: $100+9 rebuy: What would you do? And why?

The normal play would of course be to counter a preflop raise and call with a significant reraise when you hold AA. I pondered this for 15 seconds before I called. The table up to this point had been...

Re: $ 100 MTT: Would you fold AK preflop here?

Reason: I thought I was up against a medium pair and didn’t wanna risk half my stack at this point on a coin toss. But more than anything it was the good old gut feeling.

I eliminated the guy...

Daily $100 buy-in late night crapshoot MTT at Ladbrokes. Finale table with 6 players left, blinds 4.000/8.000. I'm third with 69K in chips, the big stack is 113K. The small stack is UTG with 36K and...

Re: Making the right call when you know it\'s wrong

My two cents:

1. You had an M-value of 2.6 before this hand with an effective M of 2.3 if the table was 9-handed. (M is your stack divided on BB+SB, on this occation 4700/1800=2.6. The M-value...

Re: $ 10 + 1 buy in: What would YOU do?

$20+2: How to play KQ from early?

KQ is in my opinion one of the hardest hands to play from early. KQ and I never seem to make real friends, and if I'm well stacked I sometimes feel like throwing the hand away (it has happened...)...

Finale table at Ladbrokes daily $12.000. We're four players left. Chip leader has 180 K, rest of us has about 75 K each. Blinds are 2000/4000.

I'm on the button and pick up...
