Re: Your line with an overpair vs an aggressive opponent

If I decide to bet this turn $60, I would probably check any river and fold to a bet if the river is a /images/graemlins/spade.gif and call any bet if the river is not a /images/graemlins/spade.gif

Re: Your line with an overpair vs an aggressive opponent

Can I really fold to any raise considering his stack size and how much i've put into the pot by betting out $60 on the turn?

Re: 50NL 6max, oesd doesn\'t hit, bluff the river against LAG

You don't bluff against a LAG, because they will CALL YOU DOWN

Pick a better spot to bluff (against weak opposition)

Against a LAG you play made hands, that's how you win their money

Re: Getting away from hands

These guys are advocating that you play weak tight. If he's betting into your flopped top two, of COURSE you wait until the turn to raise with no conceivable draw on the flop, especially since this...

Re: Should I be calling to eliminate a player?

hey some familiar faces.

I finished 3rd behind you, you kept stealing my BB from the SB. This was only my 3rd limit holdem tournament so I wasn't sure how to deal with this in limit play. I lost...

Re: A 100 years ago, he\'d a shot ya!

that's a pretty terrible thing to have happen to you and he's a total idiot, but what does his ethnicity have to do with anything? why do you even bring it up?

Re: deep stack rebuy, fold to limp-reraise?

I don't want to seem sexist or anything, but if a girl pulled this move, I would call 100% of the time. ESPECIALLY online.

Large pot, unsure of what to do on the turn.

Loose game of 100NL at the bike.
I have some reads, seat 9 will call large bets with draws, no real read on seat 1, seems decent but maybe slightly LAG.
Seat 9, seat 1, and I all have about 200...

Re: knowing when to fold trips?

If he's a tight player, you should have laid it down preflop and not gotten involved with a hand that gets easily dominated like QJ

Re: One mistake?... two?.... or am I a genius? (prolly not)

I think you played it fine. AJ suited is good for a limp in a pot that's building multi-way. People who recommend that you fold preflop are playing way too tight imo esp when there has been no...

Re: PP33 hand. How NOT to play AA

at this point the blinds are still too small to attempt to limp re-raise. You should save that for when the blinds go up and the gap becomes bigger, so there are less limpers in the hand

FOLD PREFLOP

you know they're all going to call you anyways -- it's a 1 dollar tournament. Just fold preflop and look for a better chance to win chips

Re: River bluff

Good raise by your friend. PFR slowing down on the turn against two opponents is likely to signal that he missed with AK/AQ/AJ but it's checked around and the river card is a blank, meaning he'll...

Re: 25 Weeks to WSOP Quest and some NL HE Questions

Generally in NL games, if the table is folding to your big hands when you make the standard 3x BB raise preflop, instead of raising less or limping with these hands, you should instead start raising...

Re: KK UTG 100NL Commerce

The reason I decided against reraising preflop is that I had a tight image and the player who raised me was fairly loose but very passive and I felt that his reraise was very likely to signal AA. If...
