Shortstacked, AJo flops gutshot, EP min-bets

Blinds 50/100. I have 1,288 chips, EP has me covered.

I get AJo in LP with an EP limper. I raise to 400, because the standard raise at the table of 3x bb is often called, and I want to increase my...

mid-pockets in the blind

Live game, $5-$5 NL. 8 handed. The game is very loose. I would guess 60%-70% of players see the flop.

I have 88 in BB. 4 players have limped, SB has checked. I don't like a raise here, because...

Re: Fold trip jacks?

[ QUOTE ]
I'm pushing whatever I have left in to this pot. Did you lose to a straight?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I put him on KQ, but couldn't bring myself to muck it. My read was good. ...

Re: Fold trip jacks?

[ QUOTE ]
what purpose is the $1 bet into a $4 pot?

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't do that. I bet $1 into a $1 pot and got 2 callers, making it a $4 pot.

Fold trip jacks?

$25 nl. I have $25, UTG has $110. He is loose, and an aggresive bettor when checked to, but he doesn't raise much.

Re: AKo, a raise and 4 calls

Why is an isolation raise more profitable than a push or a call?

AKo, a raise and 4 calls

$25 NL. I have $27, AKo on the button.

UTG raises to $1, 4 players cold-call.

1) what do I do?
2) why is that the most profitable way to play it?

Pokerroom=greedyass SOB\'s

WTF is up with Pokerroom? first they increase their rake, then they fix it so you only get .7 points, instead of a full point, when the pot is raked $1, and now they increase their clearing...

Re: Short-stacked: JJ in BB

Yeah, I mostly play limit and post there, but I think small stack play is for me.
i just find myself in too many situations where I'm facing a big bet, and I don't know if I'm beat or not. In...

Re: Short-stacked: JJ in BB

The thing is, if I push, I'm laying 7:1 that UTG doesn't have me dominated. Considering the opening range for a good player from UTG, do I really want to give those odds?

Short-stacked: JJ in BB

.50/$1 NL. I have only 20 BB in my stack.

UTG, a solid player, raises to $3. I'm thinking I should just call and see a flop, because I know he has something. But then the ultimate calling station...

Re: KQ makes trips. Fold to obvious AK?

Well, when a calling station 3-bets from the blind, I think it's time to start thinking there might really be a monster, and maybe not under the bed.

Re: KQ makes trips. Fold to obvious AK?

O.K. I goofed by forgetting to consider my outs to split. So I was wrong in saying I should fold.

I didn't raise the flop because I figured he could easily have AA or AK, and if he did I would be...
