Re: omg full house!

You're only losing to AA, KK, JJ, and the case 6. The big pairs all seem pretty unlikely because you'd probably have seen a pre-flop raise. Loose passive players might slowplay a hand like AA here,...

Re: Reverse Implied Odds?

[ QUOTE ]
Do you limp hands like, KJo, QJo, ATo?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think I play AT and KJ, but probably fold QJ. With no raise coming yet, we're unlikely to be dominated with KJo and ATo (though...

With that many limpers, would you guys still raise it, or would it become a call at this point?

I would just limp. At this point the EV of raising and calling...

Re: Anybody struggle to win in live games while beating online easily?

Artie and Sheffield are probably intentionally cold-decking you. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

A few salient points:

1. Live games are slow. The sample size is small. You feel the variance more.

Bump, why don't you guys consider folding the flop?

[/ QUOTE ]

Mr. E,

Basically, the reason folding the flop is bad is because we simply have too much hand. The important things...

Re: Quiz from Phil Gordon\'s website

This is wrong in my opinion.

Even if you just have 6 outs, 85-20 is actually plenty good to call with 6 outs considering all those outs are very clean and you have good implied odds.

In a...

I'm lost on this hand after the flop.

I guess I understand the turn bet, but I don't know about the river call.

[/ QUOTE ]

This hand is ENTIRELY read-based.

Nice turn play. I assume if he doesn't raise and you get overcalled, you check and fold a bet from the other guys and check and don't overcall a bet from him?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yep.

Playing A-high at the Best Table Ever

So, I had a really great day today (as in, 120 BB good), which has greatly aided me in my current "build-a-bankroll-from-$50" experiment.

Tonight I managed to find myself at one of the best tables...

Re: KK hand at 5-10

If your read is good, this is a fold.

I think that against most players in a pot this size calling down is probably better, as we have outs against two pair and a set and so forth, and will be...

Re: Stumbling Through Purgatory

I definitely like the first two streets.

The turn is just a classic tough "poker-playing" decision.

Most players aren't just check-raising a hand like QJ or something like that. This is much...

Hell Yeah!

My plan for the hand:

1. Check the flop, planning to raise a bet from late position.

Re: TT 3-Bet in small blind?

This should be a standard three-bet against players in those positions, pretty much regardless of reads. The only time I might not raise this is from like a super-tight EP raiser or something.

Re: T8s, 5-10 Live, trapped on flop

I think the interesting question here is whether to call the two on the flop the first time. Everything else seems pretty standard.

As for the flop call:

You will be getting 11-1 on a flop call...

Re: I hate laying down KK on the flop

In a three-way pot, with the pre-flop three-bettor left to act behind you, and pretty much no draws, folding here is a solid play.

Re: Live Game - Incorporating reads

Betting the flop is correct, in my opinion. Given the read, I like the turn check.

Definitely bet the river.

Re: Live Hand: Pop it now or later?

Pre-flop is fine here.

On the flop, you really should wait until the turn. Raise any non-/images/graemlins/spade.gif, J, 9, or Q turn.

Consider folding if any of those cards hit.
