Re: A few decisions...

Why no raise anywhere? Could you explain what you were thinking? I raise the flop, since with only a 9 I don't want to wait till the turn since so many cards could come and crush me.

Re: 10/20 situation, call down, raise flop, fold?

Fold preflop. I'd play postflop the same.

Re: yes! 300BB upswing biatches

Re: In which I fold a straight (no flush or boat possible)

KJ may not raise every time with two limpers already in, I would imagine.

Re: Trip 9s weak kicker vs 0.7 AF

CO's stats are weird. That 3-bet looks ugly though - He's either got a better nine, a boat or maybe he's overplaying a slowplayed overpair? I doubt he would pop this on a draw. I probably call...

Re: But I Have Trip Aces!

Certainly I now agree that the river raise was bad. Do you think he automatically puts me on trips when I raise the turn? You see this kind of bluff-raise moderately frequently at 10/20 (although...

Re: But I Have Trip Aces!

Sigh. Good hand reading - He had AQ and I was boned. I'm working my way out of my first 300 BB downswing so I'm trying to question everything more closely these days, even things that ought to be...

Re: But I Have Trip Aces!

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Flop - hit my ace, call down.

Turn - Hit 2 aces, he probably doesn't have one - Raise! Plus, he might not believe that I have an ace and look me up.

But I Have Trip Aces!

Opponent here is a pretty tough TAG, 28/21/2 with a tendency to fight for pots. Has shown that he won't really be bullied out of pots. Anyway, crtitiques on all postflop streets appreciated. I'll...

Re: AKs and an unorthodox play

Against an unknown I typically 3-bet the turn and lead river, call down if raised. The problem with waiting till the river is that free showdown raises and draws are going to check behind. I'm sure...

Re: \"I wouldn\'t piss on you if you were on fire\"

Can you just tell her that you don't want her to wait on you anymore? If this doesn't work, then talk to the owner/manager.

Re: 3-bet J10s against good player?

The decision also depends on how often this guy goes to showdown. Some TAGs fold more than others, obviously. If this guy likes to call down, then unless you hit you're stuck at showdown with...

Re: Too weak? - AQo

On this drawless board, barring metagame considerations I think fold is good.

Re: Playalong JJ

What about call flop/raise turn? Raising the flop isn't going to fold anybody who isn't drawing super-slim anyway.

Well, at this point consider him an unknown, not necessarily tight and solid. I was giving him a wider range on his 3-bet than just super-premium hands. That K /images/graemlins/heart.gif was...

Re: movie: syriana

I liked it a lot. Why did you hate it so much? It was admittedly a little slow and obtuse at the beginning, but I thought it was interesting and timely overall.

Playing scared

Villain in this hand is unknown. He had tightish stats over a very small sample, but I've barely played an orbit with him. Anyway, I thought about capping PF but I figured a SB 3-bet of my UTG...

Re: Rare Aggression

I suspect you had a better hand than he did anyway, although you may have scared him off a small pairor ace-high. Good that you won the hand though.
