Re: A-rag suited do you play it? call a PF raise?

If there are a few callers before you and you expect the blinds to call the raise too, then you can safely play this hand. Only pitfall (Although it shouldn't be) is if an ace flops...

Re: 50xBB vs 100xBB. Can you get away from a set?

I don't think the river 3 is irrelevant at all. It improves heros hand in many ways. He is much more likely to get paid off by AA, KK now that a hand like J9 or QJ has been counterfitted...

Re: Any specific things to keep in mind when moving up to Party NL100?

If you want to play $200 NL you should move off party. The games there are so tight, people are shitting diamonds.
The Avr pots at $200 tables are only marginally bigger than then $100 tables.

Re: Is 12 BB/100 sustainable at Party 100NL 6 Max?

I've been 4 tabling $100 NL 6-max at party for 3 months now
I see about 30% of the flops and have earned 6BB per table per hour. It's all about practice as far as I'm concerned. Gently add a table...

Re: I forgot to mention...

I think checking this hand to the river is a big mistake. You've flopped a boat. Either you'll get action or you won't
Your opponent was also slowplaying! Imagine the pot you could have built if you...

would I play it differently? YES SIR!!
raise preflop with Q9o from the sb??? YIKES
I would complete, but I wouldn't like it.
bet the pot with a missed flop?? NO WAY
check fold!

Re: How much is \"reraising the size of the pot\"?

[ QUOTE ]

Say you bet $4 dollars to make a $6 pot and the bettor bets $4 dollars (calling $3 and reraising $1).

[/ QUOTE ]

Not possible. Min raise for villain here is $3 making his total...

Re: Getting Murdered. Any Advice?

With three callers you should never make a pot sized bet when missing the flop with AQ, HU you should do it most of the time, with two callers you should do it sometimes if you have reads on the...

Re: OUT at 150th

heh I made pretty much the same mistake and busted out 155th
Folded to me in the CO. I have KQo with about T20k
Avr stack is about 30k at this time I believe.
I push and get called by the SB who...

Re: Getting the maximum NL200 6 max

*Ramble on*
Given his $100 turn bet I think $150 on the river is the minimum bet. Betting 60-80 into a $400 pot would smell way too much of a value bet. In general I think an all in bet would be...

Re: What does it take to beat a game? (or move up)

The major differense between $50 NL and $100 NL on party is the aggression level of the opponents. They are wildly more aggressive at $100 which obviously leads to large swings. So a healthy bankroll...

Re: Folding AK preflop 25NL

Folding AK pf is fine in a situation such as this. I do it often enough when I fear domination by AA or KK. There are plenty of better situations to get your money in. Yes there is a fair chance that...

Re: How do I get enough action at NL25?

Not much you could have done to win this hand after the flop.
Villain flopped open end straight + flush draw. He's the favorite in the hand against your overpair.
Although there are some things to...

Re: Raising from early position.

I usually raise it more than what the majority proposes.
my standard is raise to 5BB + 1BB per limper
so my standard opening raise at $50 NL at party is $5
I do, however, play shorthanded only....

Re: PP 6Max. vs. 10 handed NL $25 Which do you prefer

I don't really understand why people seem to have swings at party $25 NL 6-max. I find the play there to be extremely loose/weak. Incredibly easy to play against. I'm averaging $50 an hour 4 tabling...

Re: AJs hand 2-4 NL

I'd definitely just call and hope that BB calls, no reason to push anyone out of the pot, when the only likely way you can win is to make your flush. With all that money in on the flop already, all...

Re: Is this too aggressive with small pair?

This being a full handed table, I'd definitely just call preflop, and play the mid-life crisis for set value. Wait for the set and bust him with it.

Re: Flop nut flush draw out of position.

I find that betting at least half the pot works well. If no one has an ace you'll often take it down right there.
Another approach is to check-raise,
and of course good ol' check-call works as...

Re: Sly\'s Sept challenge days 4-6

Good fold on the AA hand, you don't need to see the heart in his hand to know he has it. If he didn't have one, well fine, let him bluff. Patience is the better part of valor. You'll get the...
