Re: Easy call?

Agree, muck your hand. You have the third best straight/7 high flush draw. Could you be ahead? Sure. But at a minimum, villian has a better flush draw and JsQx is definitely possible. Maybe I'm...

Re: I need some opinions on a big hand at belagio!

You put the guy on a King on the turn. Let's just assume that you're right. Given that Kh is in your hand and Kc and Kd are on the board, that meant he had the Ks. Now, what's his kicker? Is it a...

Re: Flop to Turn

All in. You might as well hand him your chips if you flat call him because he's moving on in on the river. Either you're beat or you're not.

Re: Call the river?

Easy call. The real question is whether you call or reraise. I would min raise just to mess with him. 1) I doubt he filled up, so I'd be good, 2) he's probably got K 10 or K 9 and hates laying it...

Re: Middle set vs. flop checkraise on coordinated board

Whoops. Didn't realize you had position. That's somewhat more difficult because, if I were him, I'd bet the turn regardless of what it was just to get information. On a non-spade turn, I think...

Re: Middle set vs. flop checkraise on coordinated board

Ah, the imfamous train wreck flop. I've been in this situation many, many times. The only thing you can really hope for on flops like this is to get heads up. At least then, you can reduce the...

Re: Checkraised while holding AA

Agree. You should have reraised pre-flop. Having said that, I think you're ahead. He's either got KK or AQ. I would be very surprised if he has a set of queens given the check raise. If he did,...

Re: Aces VS Kings

OK, I'll admit that I was somewhat exaggerating. However, let's take this one by one. AA vs. KK after pre-flop raising war. Let's assume that KK (villian) raises , AA (hero) reraises and villian...

Re: Aces VS Kings

This is like asking, "How do you bet top set when you know villian has bottom set" or "How do you bet flopping nut straight when you know villian has over pair." The simple answer is: it doesn't...

Re: 2/4 Top two pair

You're giving MP3 KK? Why would MP3 limp pre flop / on the flop with a two potential draws on the board? If he has a King, it's KJ or KQ. If he's betting a gut shot straight draw, then Merry...

Re: simple 10 10 question

Since I wasn't there and didn't observe his demeanor pre-flop/after exposing your hand, I can't get a read off the guy. All things being equal, I fold.

Re: simple 10 10 question

Yes, I realize he doesn't need to be a favorite. If you want to get technical, you don't need to be a favorite to call any bet because the worst pot odds you can have is 50:50. My point was that he...

Re: simple 10 10 question

Flipping is allowed is some poker rooms, but not all. I'm not a big fan of showing cards to get a reaction. 1) it's an amateur move, 2) you've giving your opponent information that he/she wouldn't...

Re: Overplayed Aces?

If I was villian, there aren't that many hands I would call with that you beat. The one possibility is AK. I wouldn't call with a draw or KQ, KJ or A10. After that, it's two pair/set combinations...

Re: 5/5 NL at foxwoods, big bluff on river

Meant to write QQ on that last post. Still think he's getting called by Jack high flush or better.

Re: 5/5 NL at foxwoods, big bluff on river

[ QUOTE ]
I don't think he's folding that often getting 3-1.

[/ QUOTE ]

Agree. For villian to fold, he would have to believe you set up/two paired on the flop or turned the nut flush. KK...

Re: Dan Harrington\'s AK wsop hand

Keep in mind that Harrington is a very tight player. If he puts Sammy on any pocket pair, he knows it's a coin flip at best. Neither one was short stacked. Harrington didn't need to take a stand...

Re: How many NL hands must you play to not be an a-hole?

If you double up on me, you're an a-hole no matter how long you stay. Well, unless you stick around long enough to lose your entire stack back to me. Then you're a great guy and I'm inviting you to...

Re: open ended straight flush draw and a pair- POW!

Why would you go all in when the raise was only $55 on top? If you wanted to raise (which you should), making it $250 straight seems more appropriate. Your draws were probably live and it is...
