Re: Playing a monster

My main question is the turn action...I'm wondering if my thinking was fuzzy in the heat of battle or if I was headed in the right direction. I wasn't going to originally bet the turn but when I...

This was an interesting hand, I'm wondering what you guys think.

Button - Fairly solid but predictable, tighter than average preflop (but not necessarily "tight") from what I've seen he will only...

Re: What to do on turn?

If we call the raise on the turn and pick up a queen on the river do we bet into him again (looking to get raised and three-bet?) or check/raise?

Thanks,
Ray

Ok, I'll take a shot...

I think checking the river is fine in hand one, you have a hand with showdown value and it seems more likely you'll be called by a hand that beats you rather than having a...

I know this sounds obvious, but just tighten up during your first couple orbits and you'll be good to go. Play group 1 the first orbit, add group 2 the second...bam...now you have two orbits worth...

2a, 2b -> limp along
2c, 2d -> raise it up

3 -> I'd only consider playing ATs/AJo and conditions would have to be perfect. I fold...

Re: Short-handed games at the other sites (besides party)

Thanks for the advice. Paradise 3/6 seems beatable (1k hands so far...I'm not gonna get cocky yet). I'm also going to hit UB and Stars just for shits and giggles.

Thanks,
Ray

Short-handed games at the other sites (besides party)

I hate the fact party doesn't have 6-max games between 1/2 and 5/10. I've played successfully up through 5/10 full ring so I'm comfortable with the stakes, but at the same time I'd like to gradually...

Re: Bet the river here?

He went into call down mode after you three-bet him on the flop. I think it's a clear bet.

Does anyone go for a check/raise on the flop?

Thanks,
