Re: TPTK, can you find a fold?

It would be painful, but I think I'd fold that turn. Given that villain capped the flop, I don't think TPTK is good here very often.

Re: AKs UI, is this a standard line?

Without reads, I'm checking behind on the turn. He called a PF raise and bet into the PF reraiser on the flop. I'd assume he has some kind of a hand (medium pocket pair?).

Hope for an A or K on...

you have to bet that flop. letting a lone heart out draw you is a bad idea.

I don't see how anybody with a heart is folding this flop; could you explain please?

turn action

For better or worse, I checked the flop. When the player to my right bets the turn, should I try to protect my hand with a raise, or hope for overcalls?

Re: hit set on uni-suited flop

[ QUOTE ]
I'd go ahead and bet because you do have a large equity edge over anything except a made flush. In the event you are behind a made flush you have a bunch of outs to the full house.

hit set on uni-suited flop

Do you bet this flop or wait for a safe card on the turn?

Re: semi-bluff on the turn (with HH)

If he bets the river, are you calling? If not, then you shouldn't really be calling the turn check-raise.

I agree. I had decided to call a bet on the river also. I...

semi-bluff on the turn

Since I play at the 1/2 level, I almost never bluff, because it's usually not profitable. But I almost folded the best hand last night on the turn due to a semi-bluff, which got me thinking...

Thanks everybody for the replies. You've confirmed my thoughts.

Re: calling from BB with garbage

In this particular hand, there were 2 limpers, so I made the call. I figured it was borderline.

calling from BB with garbage

Party Poker 1$/2$.

You are in the BB w/ 8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif5 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif. X number of players limp, where X>0. The button raises. The SB calls (he's very loose PF...

Re: Bottom set, raised pot. Did I extract the max?

I'd play it just like you did. The call-reraise on the flop screams flush draw to me, since an OESD isn't possible. Especially after he checked the turn.

Re: Small Stakes HE vs. Winning Low Limit HE

I've been playing online since last August. Started at .25/.50, now playing 1/2. The first (and only) book I've read is WLLH.

I've been beating the rake, but that's about it. I've made a few...

Re: KQ against resistance

Could somebody explain the preflop raise please? I'm not saying it's a bad play, but from the SB with 5 opponents, I would probably limp in that situation.

Thanks.
