First off, is raising the correct play here with so many people in the hand?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, you're raising for value.

Check-raise turn AND river /images/graemlins/grin.gif

nah, not really, unless I'm the villain (see below). I'm more for checkraising the turn than the river though.

However, against an overly...

Re: ATs

I'd bet the turn here. I really hate to give a free card to a possible FD.

Re: QQ

grunching..

I think raising the turn, folding to a three bet is the way to go. My reasoning is this, with a pot this big and only one overcard I would like to get to showdown. Calling twice costs...

Re: What\'s the plan on this river?

I'd bet. If it comes back to me only raised once I'd curse a bit and hit the call button.

Re: 99 facing betting on the flop

[ QUOTE ]
what do you do when you raise the flop, get 3bet? Call and fold turn UI?

[/ QUOTE ]

This is part of the mess we get into since we didn't raise preflop. As it played out, if CO 3bets...

Re: 99 facing betting on the flop

Raise preflop. If the game is tight preflop you raise
to isolate UTG. If it succeeds you are in a good spot
with your PP since you have position on UTG.

Re: A Question About Marginal Hands

Marginal hands are surely profitable as long as they are played by poor opponents /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Hmm, OOP with nasty turn card

No way I'm giving a free card here just because an A came on the board. I'd hate to see someone make a diamond or spade flush on the river knowing they didn't pay for it.

Re: A reinvention of the microposter: Session Studies

I'd like to join this, although I doubt the more experienced players will benefit from my advice, I'll probably end up writing more questions than suggestions about the HH I receive...

Re: AQs, do I hate money?

I'd either raise or fold here. I don't think calling is any good at all here. By raising we have the option of taking a free card or folding on the turn if we get bet into again.

Re: Two KK Hands

I'd play both hands exactly the same.

- Edit - Hmm, or actually I would probably have called the river in hand 2. Although it's maybe the wrong thing to do.

Re: Playing Again- multitable

I'm impressed you get time to play at all. As for playing tired I'm trying to avoid playing even one table when I'm tired since I make way too many mistakes.

Since I'm working away from home 4...

Hard without a read on villain and OOP. Against an aggressive player I might try to checkraise to see where we're at. (Yes, we are the preflop aggressor but with almost 10SB in the pot most...

Re: What book

Hilger's book (Internet Texas Hold'Em) helped me the most, because it was the first poker book I ever read, and it turned me into an immediate winner in the microlimits.

Looks nice to me. Would have played the same (I guess you
were planning to checkraise the turn in hand 1 if a safe card would show).

Can't help thinking that you lost at least two of these hands...
