Re: Who likes this push? Party 30+3 w/ 250 entrants

Your 33 push may impact the way that people wiew your JJ push and this may get you some of the action that you ar trying to avoid. I think a raise of 3 - 4X is better. This allows you to get away...

Re: Gosh... AQ against a donk. Party 30+3 w/ 250 entrants

You're right, You were the donk on this hand. Why no reraise preflop?

Re: Live $50 MTT, final table hand

BB may be thinking that you are just trying to make a fast steal w/o risking everythingyou have or may have a real hand. Doesn't matter. I think that now you push just as you probably should have...

Re: Live or online tournaments which is more profitable?

Live Bad additions.
Often have great extra expense w/hotel and meals out.
There are not many that you are physically able to enter/

Re: Play from the blinds: T6s

I expect we will hear that Scuba had a great read on the guy and called with a winner. How about it Scuba?

Re: $55: 99, Back to Basics

Agree with junkmails ps but I did vote, just wouldn't raise as much as the poll suggested. More like 100-125.

I want to raise to reduce the field and to take control of the hand. This will be...

Re: small overpair $109

Seems to me that the hand will play much better if you try to get a read on the raiser btf. What about reraising to 900 or so. This may get rid of the BB and, if you are reraised you can be pretty...

Re: rush/anti rush

Thanks for the recognition that you can run hot and cold and YES I do believe that the cards are random and that each hand is independent of all the others and that 3 gut shots in a row is a random...

rush/anti rush

It seems to me that poker often runs in streaks with a monster rush where every hand hits at one end and super pockets that can't ever win at the other. Most of the time you are somewhere in between...

Re: scary TPTK multiway

Think that the problem started on the flop when you only bet 50. There are probable flush and straight draws available on the flop as well as underpairs so you should bet enough to make it wrong for...

Re: Two difficult hands: Is there a lesson to be learned here?

You're right, the hands are interesting but I don't believe that the hands are the same. I remember reading once that you should give a player on whom you have no reads a lot of credit until you...

Re: First Post: Hand from Stars 500K

Nice post and lots of opinions. Good going. I probably wouldn't but actually like your reraise w/66. I think it tends to win at this point way more often than not. Your question, though, is what...

Re: Results

I believe that the call, based on my read, was wrong and I should have folded to the first bet before the turn. After calling and getting a blank on the turn, I felt committed and also went all in...

Re: Are the right odds enough?

This is the reason for my post. There is no question that the right odds exist for a call. (I don't believe any fold equity exists) Is it worth a call for all your chips when playing for 1st and...

Draw when heads up?

You are now playing for 1st and 2nd in a Full Tilt multi. 1st is about 950 and 2nd is around 650. Your opponent has played sound but is probably a little passive. You have just doubled up twice...

Re: Party $100+$9 early dilemma

Agreed. I would expect you to be facing an overpair seldom but would be facing slick often and an underpair often. I have seen pushes with "good" hands much more often than with trash. I don't...

Re: (55) I have a garbage hand, but great pot odds...

This is a call or a push with either decent, not necessarily great, cards or a tall stack. You have neither and your cards are still garbage so MUCK EM. You might justify a call at a ring game but...

Greed at 20-40

Playing a very passive 20-40 game at the Mirage and let greed totally blind my judgement. Most flops were seen for a single bet 4 or 5 handed. My cards were exceptionally poor but I was winning on...

Re: Greg Raymer & Poker Insight

No I don't work for them. As I stated, the title is misleading. I agree that the Barry and Ted segments were very good and thought that Greg and Tom were the best in the other segments. Was very...

Greg Raymer & Poker Insight

I have just finished "The Only Poker Guide You'll ever Need" by Poker Insight and the title is overly optomistic. In spite of that, 2+2 should take a great deal of pride. They have spawned another...

Re: RESULTS

I don't think that you can fold to the preflop raise or get away from the hand after the flop. 2 overcards are way behind a smaller pair after the flop so you got all your money in as the favorite...

Re: Live MTT, 2 tables remaining with large blind to stack ratio:

Sounds to me like you are either tied 77 vs 2 overcards or way behind a larger pair I want to put my chips into the pot when I am ahead or have some fold equity. Muck this rag
