Re: Back up connections / multitabling on dial up

I've done eight without a problem. Just don't surf the net at the same time.

Re: Thinking While Playing (LC)

Well, you can see a doctor and see what's recommended. Or you can do what I do and self medicate with far too much coffee.

Re: Thinking While Playing (LC)

Adderall. No really, do you have a problem focusing in general, or just with regard to poker? I used to teach, and your "noise" comment sounds like what kids with ADD used to say.

Re: sending a huge file to my new computer?

My 1 gig PT database zips down to 140MG. Don't think they vary too much, so OP should be fine with zipping and then burning.

Re: There is a crazy player on perma-tilt that keeps on winning

Laggy can work in six-max. I know, that's what I play when I'm drinking. How many hands do you have him ahead on?

Re: Turn back the clock: Online Poker Article from 2002

It's pokerroom in 2002. This probably was the case.

Re: Will this solve my problem?

Go to the task manager. Click on the Processes tab. Right-click on Ptrack2.exe and go to Set Priority. Click on BelowNormal. This will make PT import a little slower, but it also stops it from...

Re: Will this solve my problem?

If you don't already, you sould try running pokertracker on "belownormal" priority. I'm only running on a 1.25 processor, and this allows me to 8-table w/ PT and PV and no slowdowns. The only thing...

Stars Lobby

This might be obvious, but I don't see it. Is there any way to filter the Stars lobby? I don't want to see running or completed tournaments, or anything that costs FPPs to play. And I don't want...

Re: Need Help w/my multi table game

Seriously. Why bother playing multis with a 50% first rate in SNGs.

Re: Worst TV plays ever

No, he just gets aggressive a little early for my taste. Nothing wrong with pushing to steal the blinds.

What I was really saying was that D'Agostino's call was bad. I could see it against a...

Re: Worst TV plays ever

Corkin's 87 all-in wasn't good, but it wasn't even the worst play of the hand.

Re: Why does eurobet immediately start up after i close it?

It seems like this happens if you don't let the pop-up fully load. Which, if the case, is rather obnoxious. Between that and the horrible cashier/HH, Eurobet sucks.

Re: Limit regular ... getting a little jealous of you SNG folk

PT probably has your results in there. It just doesn't display them without the whole tounament history. Look in the manual entry section and you'll probably see a bunch that are hidden from the...

Re: Limit regular ... getting a little jealous of you SNG folk

Do you immediately close tourneys you lose? If so, then you need to import the emails.

Re: partypoker HH changes?

If you're referring to the changes from a few weeks ago, there is a pokertracker patch for the issue. I think also deleting the word "Texas" from the HH does the trick. That might work even if it...

Re: Dial- up

I use it as a backup and have 8-tabled. I get a little more lag, but it's not bad. My only issue is remembering to click something in the ISP's browser so it doesn't decide that I'm inactive and...

You can also zip up the pokertracker database, if you use it.

Re: backing up my HHs

Raid is serious overkill for a bunch of text files. I'd go with a zipped file saved to a CD and sent to a Gmail account.

Re: tweaking windows--priority

I play on an older computer and have to set the ptrack2.exe to the below normal priority to avoid slowdowns. Once I do this, though, everything works fine.

Re: 1 year pro anniversary

Pokertracker only checks hand histories in your inbox. You can create an Old Hand History folder and move them over to there without slowing down imports.
