Re: chip distribution?

How many chips do you have? How many players are you expecting?

Lots of 0.05 cent chips and 0.25 chips are key, no need to really worry about anything else unless you have aa lot of chips left...

Re: A new table construction idea

I think you should be OK as long as you use a pretty dense closed cell foam so that it doesn't compress at the seams creating a depression in the surface.

You just need to apply the foam to the...

Re: I hate trying to get home games set up.

I know for the people that come to my home game, that would just prevent them from coming.

Re: I hate trying to get home games set up.

I have found as long as I invite 20 people, at least 8 will probably show.....

But I agree, that is frustrating.

Re: Tournament format Stud home game question

that seems like a neat game. I think you might have something here. As long as we are not actually playing hold'em, I am sure the guys will like that.

Re: Homemade poker table questions...

Dimensions, I used 92"x48", and I haven't found 48" to be too wide. I did 92" instead of 96" siomply because I cut the fabric too short :P

The problem with carpet underlay, as was mentioned...

Re: Steve\'s Custom ASM Design

I think the green and yellow $25 would add a nice contrast with the darker $5, but thats just me.

Tournament format Stud home game question

I play a home game with a bunch of guys who are new to poker in general, and they are tired of Holdem (my game of choice). So we thought we would try a stud tourney, where we could mix up a few...

Re: Home game dilemma - sort of

I agree, try a tourney format. For one, your friends can have fun with that all in thing that is so popular with new players, and two, seeing as you are trying to find a way to not win every time...

Re: Is it ever correct to fold AA preflop in a NL tournament?

I see your point, and looking at it that way, I agree. By no means did I mean that you would fold this if heads up against the chipleader, what I meant was because you are playing this six handed,...

Re: Is it ever correct to fold AA preflop in a NL tournament?

Yes there are times to fold AA preflop in tourneys, and I think this is one of them. Against one or even two opponents your AA is an obvious play, but against 5 players, you are still the favorite...

Re: How should I have played this? AA against a three flush flop?

Hey, honest opinions are what I am looking for here, thanks for the advice! The only question I have now is with the check/call thing if no hearts fall. I only have 1400 left here if I call the...

How should I have played this? AA against a three flush flop?

With AA I go heads up early in a MTT, blinds 50-100, my stack about 2500, opponent about 4000. He raised to 300 before the flop, I reraised to 600, not wanting to get rid of him, he called. Flop is...

Low Limit Rebuy Tourney

What do you think my rebuy strategy should be for this tourney.....

$20+2 buy in for $500 in chips
$10 rebuy for an additional $500, and you can rebuy if you are under $1001, so you can triple...
