Re: Naked A to flush on the river

[ QUOTE ]
Who is in which position? (looks like you raise from the blinds (which I hate)).

[/ QUOTE ]

It's heads-up. Villain is SB/Button.

Re: selling a seat at pokerstars

Won't they let you unregister from those WCOOP main events and give you the buy-in back in tournament dollars?

Re: Naked A to flush on the river

Based on your read of the player, he's not drawing purely to the flush, so I guess all I'd be worried about is if he had a draw to a higher straight and his hand also contained a couple of low/medium...

Re: When should I move up to PLO50?

Thanks.

So my current win rate of 9 PTBB/100 would indicate that I've got plenty of improvement to make before I move up?

Re: When should I move up to PLO50?

As far as my win rate is concerned, it's PT BB/100.

I don't know about the win rates in the quotes. I had assumed that they were also PT BB/100, but I'm not sure.

Re: Where to start?

Thanks for all the comments.

I think I'm still leaning towards 5-card draw, just so they can get the basic hand rankings down. Maybe we only play that for a short while, and then move on to...

Re: When should I move up to PLO50?

I've been thinking about this a fair bit...it's not all about bankroll, is it? You need to be beating the level you're currently playing at fairly comfortably before moving up.

I've played 60000...

I would start with holdem as soon as you can, instead of focusing on 5-card draw. How much will they play 5-draw anywhere?

Where to start?

Hi

I've been playing poker for a couple of years, and now play exclusively on-line. I'd like to get a home game going - just for fun - with four other guys who'd like to give it a go. One of...

If so, would you call all in w/ 9944 in a raised and reraised pot?

If it's single-suited, I'd reraise with it, cos I don't want to be playing guessing games with this...

NLHE: Pre-flop with QQ...

Hi

I'm generally a cash-game PLO player, but I've been trying my hand at the WCOOP FPP satellites that Poker Stars are running. I did what I had to do in a 90 FPP Round 1 Satellite...this hand is...

Re: Too aggro with nut straight on rainbow board?

If Button is tight, then wouldn't his raise generally indicate the nuts? It would seem that that's not the case here - perhaps he was raising with a nine-high straight.

If I was just against the...

Re: Nut straight with runner-runner flush on river, still lead?

Against most opponents I think I just check behind. In most cases, I'd put the SB on 34xx, a set, a diamond draw or a club draw. In the first three cases, I can't see him calling any bet you make...
