A trifecta, a sexy, and a good old-fashioned ass reaming

Hand 1 - The Trifecta

Because I thought I could. Villain is a complete LAGtard/tool. He has one speed preflop and postflop: bet/raise (70/22/2.1). Admittedly, limping OOP w/98o is a little dicey...

JerseyTom -

If you're BB, how do you play this hand differently post-flop?

Thinking a 50 VPIP guy is not going to call two in the BB with this hand is crazy...

I was UTG, aka a 14.7/11.7 nit that didn't get to SD at that table, I think I left pretty shortly after that hand

Re: Fastplaying Quads (low content)

Wow. Great f*cking table.

Yes, fastplay always vs a clown like this. But definitely C/R the flop... you've got the whole field trapped and drawing dead. Sodomize them. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: Does anyone fold somewhere with overpair?

Check-call. The 3 on the river gives you a license to show down, not to value bet. I think he has a counterfeited 2 pair at least 10% of the time, but you're going to lose this hand often.

Re: 1/2 AQs a little new to this limit thing...

I bet/call the flop and raise the turn (I want to get SB out of the hand if possible). I think CO has a decent J (KJ, AJ) more often than he has something truly scary (JJ, 88, 33, J8, QJ).

What do...

Re: theory on four to a flush quads on flops

I'm slightly more inclined to "pump" vs 1 or 2 opponents if:

- I have an overcard to the board (e.g. KTs on a J72 flop), giving me additional top pair outs. In such cases I will improve to top...

Re: Ultimate opponent stats

For me, the "ultimate opponent" is this guy who is 78/0/.49 over the 2K hands I've sat with him. His win rate is something like -22BB/100. He's definitely the ultimate. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Re: Blind war w/ a 2+2\'er

I check-call the river and expect to lose this time. If he's truly "fed-up", he's probably overplaying a hand you beat at least 10% of the time so you need to show down. Calling his river raise is...

Re: Facing turn check-raise

As others have said, raise preflop.

I fold to the turn C/R unless I have a read that my opponent could do this without clubs or without an A. Fairly small pot; next hand, please.

Re: Are river calls like this bad bad bad?

You must fold the river against this opponent. He at least has a pair. If I had more of a feel for his post-flop play, I might find a check-fold on the turn, but I'd probably bet the turn most of the...

Bottom set, drawy board, huge pot, crazy action. Turn.

I know this is 6-max, but a nice huge multiway family pot fits better in this forum.

Second hand at the table so no reads yet.

I think pre-flop and flop are pretty standard.
