Re: Country with most lenient tax law towards poker income?

My understanding is that to be taxable in Canada gambling has to be your primary source of income. CRA must be able to show that you approach poker in a systematic manner, with a reasonable...

Re: Country with most lenient tax law towards poker income?

Incorrect.

Re: 5/10 6max - Am i just a lucky fish?

I don't think I like the preflop call but the flop raise is fine for equity/free turn card. With a bettor and 2 callers already you're likely going to get 3:1 on your raise, and very likely have...

Re: Casino Windsor

Windsor, Ontario just south of Detroit.
Also agree with second poster dealer/floor people are sloooow but the play is incredibly bad... also time charge is high ($6/half hour on the $100 max game)...

Re: Am I doing this right?

Hand 1 is good: you are likely ahead on the river but you are not going to be called by a worse hand nearly often enough for the river bet to be +ev.

Hand 2 I like too. You have to call the...

Re: I no go for overcalls, yo

"The SB certainly played like he flopped a set and made a full house on the turn but maybe he just wanted to get tricky with his trips or something"

What about the SB's play indicates he flopped a...

Re: I no go for overcalls, yo

I like the raise and would definitely cap to a 3-bet Given the sb's previous agression I think its unlikely he flopped a set or two pair and you are very likely ahead of him, and that he may have a...

Re: 5/10 hand

I fold KJo facing all but the most donkish of raisers even if he has a large range of hands which he will open raise with the majority of them still have you dominated. With a raise and a cc in...

Re: Did I overplay this straight

"Did I overplay this straight"
Yes, you also overplayed your 6 high, what was the purpose of the flop checkraise? you don't have the best hand and you're heads up with a draw to the non nuts. ...

Re: How do you play this river?

Easy value bet, with a two paired board people love to call with any A high etc.
Once you're checkraised I don't think it's an easy fold at all, given this guys numbers you are very likely behind...

Re: QQ River fold?

I like it on every street. Raising flop is good, good chance you have best hand and he is taking shot with random club etc, if you are behind, it may buy you a free river. You have to call when...

Re: Way to squeeze out that value...

I like the turn check, pretty much for the reasons you've stated, inducing bets from worse hands etc...

I think the river raise has some value, if as you say, he is laggy enough to be playing any...

Re: KJo hand - turn decision with 3rd pair and flush draw

I'm not sure I like it, the river seems like a very thin value bet, what kind of hand is he going to call with that doesn't beat middle pair?

I think the turn bet is kinda sketchy too, the Ac...
