Re: learned on-line, now wanto to try live

After playin online for less than a year, working my way up to 3/6 (at the time, now up to 5/10) I played 3/6 in Vegas (Mirage) for about 30 hours last month. It was way easier than 3/6 online,...

Re: Going to New Orleans on Saturday, what to expect at Harrah\'s?

Maybe I should leave the badge on and act like a complete idiot. It does crack me up seeing everyone wearing their badges all over and looking like complete dorks.

Going to New Orleans on Saturday, what to expect at Harrah\'s?

Will be in NOLA for 4 days for a conference, staying across the street from Harrah's. Anyone have any experience there?
What HE limits are offered and how are the games? Been playing mostly 5/10...

Re: PartyPoker 3/6 vs 5/10

I play at UB so maybe my experience dosn't translate well to party but I just made the jump from 3/6 to 5/10, all full ring games (sometimes play 4/8 mini as well) and have been beating the 5/10...

Re: B&M Report (Harrah\'s)

After playing online for about a year, working my way up from .25/.50 to 5/10 and just playing my first B$M a few weeks ago (Mirage 3/6) I'd have to say players at the same limit are much worse live....

Re: Treading water online

I've had a similar experience with a "ceiling" I was unable to break through. Started w .25/.50 with $100 bankroll and have moved up when I get 300BB for the next level.
I got stuck at about the...

Re: Buy-in Question for 2-4 and 3-6

You're not even close. B$M I'd buy in for a rack ($100) with another hundred stashed close by. Online I go with the default (50BB on UB).

Re: Las Vegas low limit

I was there a few weeks ago, first B&M experience. Played 3/6 at Mirage, much softer than the 3/6 on UB.

Re: what to do with JJ on overcard flop

I think preflop raise here is a no brainer. UB is usually tight, i think half the time you get one, maybe two callers. More likely everyone folds than more than three cold callers. Check/fold the...

Re: Vegas low limit rakes

The 3/6 at the Mirage was much softer than UB 3/6. Figure an average of 6 seeing the flop so the pots can get big. Very profitable if you can remain patient while folding junk for hours at a time.

Re: Vegas low limit rakes

I believe it's 10% up to $4 (at least it was for 3/6 at Mirage)

Re: Vegas Bound!

I figure I saved about $300 in 3 days, but the standard rate was higher than normal because of high demand from conventions in town. I was actually quoted a higher rate from the poker room than what...

Re: Going Pro in Atlantic City

I grew up in South Jersey and spent alot of time in the AC area. Ventnor, Marate and Longport are all nice communities on the same island as AC. You should be able to find cheap rentals off season,...

Re: Vegas Bound!

Just got back from the Mirage. The pool is a zoo. If you don't save a seat early, good luck getting one. If you can play 6 hours a day, you can save quite a bit on the room rate. Have fun

Re: Trip Report: 1st time B&M/Mirage

Played some on line yesterday, definitely much more aggressive than the 3/6 at the Mirage, can't limp in EP without risking an isolation raise behind me, not the implied odds for the speculative...

Trip Report: 1st time B&M/Mirage

Well, I just got back from my Vegas. After playing online for about 9 months, working my way up from .50./1 to 3/6 with my initial $100 deposit (up to $2300) I finally played in my first live games...

Re: Discount outs for prob of others holding cards?

I guess I'm talking more about Bayes Theorem kind of stuff. If you have all ten people in a pot, there is a probablity that one or more will hold an A (or any other card for that matter), so if you...

Discount outs for prob of others holding cards?

Technically, don't you have to discount outs by the probability of the cards being out already?

Re: What bankroll for 3 days of 3/6 at Mirage

Thanks, what bankroll would I bring for the 4/8? Would also pay a bit more for a room at Bellagio 120/199 vs 99/139 at the Mirage. Was also concerned that there would be long waits for Bellagio 4/8.

Re: What bankroll for 3 days of 3/6 at Mirage

well, I started w $100 in December playing .50/1 and have been working my way up as my bankroll permits (300BB min to move up ). Was up to $2200 a few weeks ago but took a big hit at 3/6 (down to...

What bankroll for 3 days of 3/6 at Mirage

Planning on my first B&M experience in a few months. Have been playin online (mostly 2/4 now) for 7 months. Need to go to LV for a conference (at the Venetian) and was planning on getting a poker...
