Re: AQo out of BB - please evaluate

Why did you slow down on the flop? TP2ndK with the board showing no draws to big hands must be worth a 3-bet, right?

Re: A/Q, did I spew?

Are you sure he has so many outs on the flop? BT 3-bet preflop and called two cold on the flop. I would put him on a good PP or two overcards, one of which is a /images/graemlins/diamond.gif, and...

Re: The Ace & The King

I'm not sure, but how about this...

Villain is a rock, and cold calls the PF raise. His hand selection for such a scenario is probably under 10%, so we probably don't have an equity edge. ...

Re: using pokerstove to evaluate my pot equity on the flop

Excellent. Thank you very much.

I guess it's safe to assume that if a player has a VPIP ~40% and isn't playing those recommended hands, my odds of winning will only go up (in general anyway).

Re: using pokerstove to evaluate my pot equity on the flop

A link would rock!

I searched a bit before I posted, but couldn't find anything. I'll continue looking.

Re: using pokerstove to evaluate my pot equity on the flop

Nothing?

Come on, I'm sure people want to estimate their chances of winning the hand based upon opponent's starting hand selection.

No comments at all?

using pokerstove to evaluate my pot equity on the flop

I would like to practice determining my pot equity on the flop. I will assume my opponents don't vary their starting hands based upon position. Assuming such an opponent has a VPIP of 30%, is the...

Grunching

Firstly, I suggest using BisonBison's hand converter, as everyone is used to reading it's output.

Secondly, call me crazy, but I don't like your flop c/r. The pot is gianormous, so it will only...

Re: 2/4 B&M hand...

Do you still 3-bet the turn here if it's been check-raised to you? (i.e. if the CO hadn't raised?)

Re: Two overcard hand

Blind post

Too bad you don't have any reads here, they would help alot. My guess is that he's either a maniac, or you sucked out on the river.

I don't like the turn check raise - he's raised...

Re: Against a Steal Goes Bad

After his flop cap, what sort of hands do you put him on? His flop raise says to me: Overpair, any 9, any 7, or just maybe a couple of big overcards. His flop cap says he's got a big 9, or...

Re: confusing AQo hand

Okay, I'll ask... would raising the river be a bad idea? I think we are ahead here most of the time. I doubt SB has a full house, as he'd have to be poking along with 77 (otherwise we'd see him act...

Re: AK... too strong!?

I have no thoughts regarding the PF cap, but I don't think enough.

I think folks are probably right about the wa/wb, but I still like your flop raise. Villain's 3-bet says he has something, and...

Re: Two pair on a Royal flop.

ATo UTG is playable in loose conditions according to SSH, so I'm fine with that play.

Re: Should i 3-bet the flop?

I thought just calling would be a viable option as it may put more money into the pot on the flop (which is what we want since we have such a large equity edge).

Do you think that's read dependent? The bet and raise came from his immediate right - if his opponents are loose, there's a good chance they'll call 2...

Two pair on a Royal flop.

I've been thinking about this hand for a while now. My analysis is at the bottom, what do you think of it?

MP1 is leaning towards LP after 30 hands.

Re: How do I get out of this one (or do I?)

I would have made the same crying call. So sad.

I don't play 2/4 (I'm not good enough yet, /images/graemlins/smile.gif ) but at .5/1 I would have 3-bet the turn. There are only 8 hands we are...

Re: Good blind D, or awful poker?

Why would you want better single pairs to fold?

A passive player raises PF and bets out on the flop when AK comes down. We are definitely behind at least one person here, and probably more, and...

Re: Misunderstanding pot equity

I think you are giving him too much credit for those jacks. He might have a lot of other hands that would make his flop raise pretty standard... KT, AJ, AQ, AK, KQ, QJ, KJ QQ, JJ, TT, T9 etc (some...

Hand 1

I would check/raise the flop. I want to build the pot, I have a strong draw. I want to improve my chances to win the pot as fast as possible incase I don't hit the draw.

Re: Tunnel vision with AA

I'm curious... in Hand 2, if villain just calls your 3-bet, will you bet out on the turn? And if he raises the turn, do you call and c/c the river?
