Re: honestly, can ANYBODY beat these $0.50 games? (part vent...)

How much do they rake in the $0.50/$1.00 games?

Re: Making Good Reads at the Low Limits

Not so sure about "making good reads", as they're fairly easy to read, but to actually follow through and act on the read will save you many bets. So many otherwise-decent LL players end up paying...

Re: Biggest Rush Playing $3/$6?

I have four wives, all of whom are supermodels. I have a 14" penis, and drive a Ferrari. Top that.

Re: folding the 2nd nuts

At most of the low-limit California Hold'em games that I've played in, most people don't seem to understand the concept of bluffing when there is an all-in player. I really don't think the player was...

Re: A hand we laughed hard after

I bet this isn't as funny to the non-California players who have never heard so much broken English at the table. I think it's also more like "gambol", or maybe even "gambo".

Re: Heads Up Help Requested -- Getting Beat after taking huge leads

More chips does not necessarily mean less of a coin toss or anything like that. More chips just means more chips. What really matters is the amount of chips in relation to the blinds / other...

Re: They called it Separation Saturday, didn\'t they?

The only "reasonable" hand that UTG could have to beat you is 99. The only person that could have the Q/images/graemlins/heart.gifJ/images/graemlins/heart.gif is the button, and it doesn't look to be...

Re: Extra info

I started to think that the post was gonna go something like "... and I have pocket deuces on the button, so do I three-bet knowing that the loose players will likely call or just call to make sure...

Re: Just like the Angelo Article

Sounds either like a really clueless player who just started playing, or a horribly written bot.

Re: Markers?

Bay 101 (San Jose) offers free safe deposit boxes; there is a $100 deposit, I suppose to ensure that you return the key. You know that door that's directly left of the poker cage? That the room you...

Seen worse

Fish has about $450 which seems to be his entire bankroll (until his next paycheck, I suppose; he's a dealer at some tiny cardroom), I have him covered. 10-handed NL, 1-2-2 blinds, 5 to open. Very...

I figure you folks here in the ML/HL forum would know a lot more about this...

I've noticed some mid- to high-limit players getting cash from a cardroom cashier (at least here in the San Francisco...

Re: Varying Strategy if You Had An Automaton Play For You?

There are plenty of easy ways around this detection.

This thread re-sparked my interest in reworking my UB jackpot-bot into a full-fledged, better-than-Poki bot (Poki, after all, is just an...

Re: Varying Strategy if You Had An Automaton Play For You?

Oh, you could also use something like AIML to have it chat with the other players, etc. :-)

Re: heads up blinds

I like that structure. Most online cardrooms use that structure (to my knowledge anyways). However, PokerStars uses the opposite (BB on button, SB acts first).

Re: Wilson Tournament Hold\'em

Re: Runner, Runner AKA Why Don\'t I Play In Cardrooms?

Yes, it's a well-known fact that playing online increases your odds of making runner-runner quads. In fact, sites with jackpots are known to generate more running quad hands than others.
