Re: On a very thin bubble...

I think you have to play this one.

If you fold now you're at 30 chips and UTG only has to win one hand and could then fold the next to wait and see if you bust out when it comes around again.

Re: $30+3 - Very difficult bubble hand

Ilya - I think your thinking is a little off here.

[ QUOTE ]
Also...ok, say you push. Ignore the SB for a second. Now the BB either calls or folds. If he calls, you're in good shape since...

Re: ITM Hand - Good/Bad fold?

Your kicker here is not the problem.

The pair of 9's and the j on the board means the only time you'll have kicker problems is agasint kq or ak.

Re: $30+3 - Very difficult bubble hand

I think the right play here goes against one of the "Rules of thumb" that you see here alot.

If you push all in the BB is going to release his hand most of the time. UTG now has odds to call to...

Re: I knew it...eventually a machine would take my job

The BoT just made the money finished in third, but it made a very interesting play with 4 to go.

The Bot had 500ish chips and pushed utg with 36o. There was another player that had 250 or so...

Re: Is there collusion on Party nl one table tournies?

You could probably get away with this a few times, but I am sure the software will detect two players playing the same table an usually high % of the time.

Re: Annie Duke and the TOC

You have to remember ESPN's goal for this is or any show is to drive ratings.

Annie = Ratings (And she can play a little too)

Annie vs Phil in the final two is about as good as it gets for ESPN...

Re: maybe a little chip dumping between annie and howard? why not?

You know its an interesting scenario.

Lets assume all three are even in chips and have roughly a 1 in 3 chance of each being the winner at this point.

Now Annie and Howard go all in vs each...

This is a poker message board. The idea is to discuss things here and we dont need to necessarily agree.

I personally mix it up with regard to my betting patterns. I'll play the...

Re: maybe a little chip dumping between annie and howard? why not?

I think the play they made would be the exact opposite way they would play if they were colluding.

A much more effective way would have been for the two of them to take turns attacking Phil's...

Re: Annie and \"play poker like the pros\"

Just my opinion here, but I think top internet SnG players would be just about even money vs all those pros at that table.

Now if we are talking about a big money side game obviously these guys...

Re: Question for Greg, Tabletalk strategy on final table

The one thing I found interesting about his comment was at least from the footage we saw - Glenn seemed like the player who was least willing to gamble.

Laying down his 99 when Luske came over the...

Re: AKo, 2 other players all in. Do you push it in too?

Time to gamble I think here given your stack size.

This time Ak will triple you up tho instead of the normal doubling up at only a marginally lower chance to win.

Vs one person with a pocket...

Re: PP 250K guarantee tourny hand

I agree with the checking the river part generally, but a set of Q's is so strong that alot of hands that you have beat will call you.
