Thank you for the replies, everyone. It did not even occur to me that since I was in BB, other players might assume that my hand is worse than usual. A call here on the flop would have been...

Re: First hand of tourney - should I have pushed on this?

Maybe I'm wrong, but does it seem like we are giving him too much credit for having the flush? Its not like there was a four flush on the board.. am I missing something?

All-in call with QT - please criticize

I was hoping to catch someone on a flush draw and win w/top pair. Looking back on it, I think that this was too much of a desparation play. What do you think?

First hand of tourney - should I have pushed on this?

Okay, I get in and this is the very first hand I'm dealt. I wouldn't have played AQ from early position, but I was in late position so I limped.

Here's the play-by-play:

Re: NL Tourney, was this all-in move correct?

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I was not aware that there was a forum dedicated to 1 table tourneys, I will post all my SnG questions in there from now on.

Pokerstars NL SnG

I'm in SB and get dealt AKo. MP3 raises to 150, it's folded to me, and I reraise to 450.

NL Tourney, was this all-in move correct?

Hey everyone, recently I have been playing a lot of NL SnG's on PokerStars. I seem to play well in the early rounds of the tournament (tight), but when I catch no cards and am short-medium stacked it...

Re: AK hand - correct move?

crocksucker, my idea with capping it preflop on the button was to take control of the hand on the flop, which didn't happen. Would you still rather flat call, regardless of position?

Differences between Lee Jones\' and David Sklansky\'s strategy

In "Winning Low Limit Hold'em," Lee Jones advises that if you have a pocket pair, such as J /images/graemlins/spade.gif J /images/graemlins/diamond.gif, and the flop is something like A...

Re: AK post flop question

Brian you bring up a good point, pot odds. Assuming all the A's and K's are good, I have 6 outs with 47 cards left to come. 41/6 is 6.8:1. Using this logic, if there are at least 7 sb's in the pot...

Re: JT suited connector hand

Homer, I completely agree with you. I think that when I was check-raised on the flop I'm used to always calling. Since I already bet once, I felt that I was surely obligated to call the raise - but...

Re: folding aces

I have a feeling you're going to get a lot of reponses here telling you how wrong your fold was on the turn. And they will be right. You can't check here and let someone get off with a free draw....

Re: AA pre-flop in 4-way capped pot - flop play?

I ended up check-raising here, I was afraid of KK. If I was re-raised then I would check-call until the river. I can see how betting out also has its advantages. Thanks for the info about table...
