AK in SB facing all in reraise

I'm trying not to be results oriented here but my play on this hand is driving me nuts. I'm looking for some comments.

The initial raiser and BB appear to be somewhat skilled in the basic...

Re: Not sure where I\'m at with 66

I would have bet the flop being in last position as you have a good chance to take it right there. If you get checked raised on the flop you could just let the hand go and wait for a better...

Re: Bet this flop or go for the check-raise?

It's not something I generally do as my first instict is to raise.

But....Say you pull everyone in except for the posters with your raise you will have 18SB in the pot. Calling will leave you...

Re: Is there any point in betting the best hand?

I will usually just check here. Though you might be the only one with an 8 you are not in a very good position to hold up through the hand. As every card except an 8,7, or 6 and to a small extent 2...

Re: Bet this flop or go for the check-raise?

Another option is to just call preflop from the small blind instead of raising into 9 players with the worst position.

Re: Results

With it being that early in the tourney, the last thing I would do is to get all in before I had to.

Preflop - maybe a tad light on the bet. But without knowing this player I would want my bet to...

Re: How are loose-passive opponents easy to beat?

Maybe you should consider the texture of a table a little bit as having a few loose passive players is great but a table full of them and you might as well just deal everything face up and play...

Re: Biig Slick with a Flush Draw

Why cap the flop? I see no problem with the flop raise here but the 3-bet should tell the Hero he has to improve and he is getting less than value for his capping bet (1 to 1) to hit his draw.

I...

I would put the button on KQ also.

Re: This is a preflop fold, right?

depends on the texture of the game and the read on the opponents that raised and called. But with all that action preflop from early position players could you ever really feel comfortable with a KQo...

Re: Offsuit Connected vs. Suited in BB facing Raise

I'd muck them all except the JTo.....and pray like hell that I got a straight draw on the flop. The reason is the JT always gives you the nut straight (unless it is counterfited). And you generally...

Re: Playing very loose very passive LL tables

I wouldn't play in these games, but that is my personal opinion.

Premium multiway hands increase in value. Junk like KJo, ATo, etc. loose lots of value. So I tighten up on hands that don't play...

Re: 75s from the cutoff with 2 limpers

Along with what GuyOnTilt said regarding doubling of pot odds, I don't think position is overly important with this hand as it is very easy to play after the flop. I would play this sort of like a...

Re: 75s from the cutoff with 2 limpers

I don't think I ever played 75s in a full ring game, unless I was forced to or there were a bunch of limpers and I was in the sb.

No opinion if it was good or bad but it isn't in my starting...

Re: Any tips on how to toughen up a weak-tight player?

Poker is a game of capitializing on other's mistake. When you are in a hand you generally want to have control of that hand. You want to have your decisions in a hand to be easy, clear and decisive....

Re: lee jones interpretation question???

I have the 2nd edition. From MP raise and reraise with QQ. Like everyone else said you might as well pack the pot when you have the best of it.

One note on my personal opinion on Lee's preflop...

Re: KJs suited in middle position

It seems that everyone likes the open raise here. When it is folded to me and I'm in MP with draw hand like KJs that can be easily dominated by anything that will call my raise I tend to just call,...

Re: Playing the missed set

The reason I'd check is because I don't think it is a value bet on the river. For this bet to have value you have to have a read on your opponent that he will be more than likely to call down a 2nd...

Re: Playing the missed set

Depends on what your position is in this hand. If I'm last or second to last in the round I'm betting the flop hoping to end it right there. In this type of flop people aren't going to stick around...

Re: Very interesting hand. Raise Flop and fold to cap?

I wanted to add that if the third /images/graemlins/spade.gif did show up on the turn that I would see the river as long as the pot gave strong enough odds to a 2nd nut flush draw. And if the spade...

Re: Very interesting hand. Raise Flop and fold to cap?

Well looking at the betting, I'd say you a behind with overpair so you got 2 outs with a possible backdoor flush. But with 3 others tossing chips at the pot there is a good chance the someone has Ax...

My take on it before I saw the results (BTW, The results don't suprise me but I had it backwards in my read. I thought the sb had A4s due to the river raise and hit the gutshot and was calling down...
