That makes much more sense than "never raise with aces", and it expresses a concept that most beginners would do well to learn; you never raise with the sole intent to 'chase people out'...

It's usual to read that 89s plays multipots well, a big pair plays short handed pots well or a ATs plays well multiway for big pots (!).

Do you know any list of "what hands play well what"?

I've finished reading Lee Jones "Wining Low-limit..." and already started Sklansky's Hold'Em for advanced players.

Both books are fantastic, but the don't talk about NL games.
