Re: Poker Lingo, \"Ship it\". Does anybody know what this means?

It means, for lack of a better term, "GIMME THAT POT HEHE"

It's more of a playful taunt, although at times it can be very maliciously intended to piss off another player.

Re: poker ethics: do you wonder about who you\'re taking money from?

As far as I'm concerned, playing at the poker table is like competition. I do not worry about it, it ultimately is not your responsibility to help these people in their lives. Most of these people...

Re: Does the +EV warrant risking tournament

With your short stack, you're at the position to only improve. You don't have any shorter stacks that can bust and move you up significantly in money. With the blinds at that level, you basically...

Re: What situation do you hate the most in poker?

When you do something right only to see it go wrong and you have no control over the situation.

Re: Best Poker Advice ever?

Re: Bankroll/Cash Management

I only keep enough for 1-2 buyins for the stakes you're playing. If you decide to move up, you can always redeposit. This keeps me from going crazy at those 30-60 tables when i should be at 5-10

9-9, getting sufficient implied odds?

My friend and I have differing opinions on this. He has 99 utg in a NL 1-2 blinds game that is super loose, with about 120 in front of him at the time. He raises to 6, and gets reraised by the cutoff...
