SnG Full of Loose Passives

Played in a home SnG a few weeks ago. Of the 8 players, 5 were virtual newbies at Hold Em and pretty much just called everything. I'm used to having 1 or 2 of those at a table, but not 5. Early...

Re: How to play JJ, QQ, KK+ when an overcard hits the flop?

Re: RESULTS

[ QUOTE ]

Good fold or bad bet?

Playing in a $5 satellite on UB, I get the following hand:

With blinds at 10-20, I have about 1300 in chips, I'm in MP with Kd-Kh. One limper in front, I raise to 80 (standard raise for the...

Re: Folding AA pre-flop

[ QUOTE ]
If you were 1 place out of the money and somebody who had you covered went all-in pre-flop, would you fold??

[/ QUOTE ]

I think this was a rhetorical question, but I will answer it...

Re: unbeatable game?

[ QUOTE ]
A lot of people in this thread have been saying the game is only beatable if you have a large bankroll.

The size of a player's bankroll has absolutely nothing to do with whether that...

Re: unbeatable game?

Just my 2 cents, at the risk of rehashing the obvious:

This game IS beatable with patience, time, and bankroll. This is not the game to sit down and kill an hour with your last few bucks before...

Re: Raise It Up Baby!

Thanks for the advice guys. It seems I can't win with AA these days, last night I had AA on the button, playing $.50/$1 NL on UB. One limper in front, I raised it to $5, blinds fold, limper calls. ...

AA in the Big Blind

How does everyone here handle aces in the big blind in an unraised pot? I don't generally consider myself good enough to slow-play AA, but I've read that in the BB you should check if no one raises...
