SnG Full of Loose Passives
Played in a home SnG a few weeks ago. Of the 8 players, 5 were virtual newbies at Hold Em and pretty much just called everything. I'm used to having 1 or 2 of those at a table, but not 5. Early...

Re: When to say enough.
IMHO, whether or not you've had enough should have less to do with how much you've won (or lost), and more to do with how good the game is. For example, if you tend to do well at a passive table,...

Interesting that you bring this up. I suppose you could say I'm on a tear as of late, and I'm using this strategy pretty much to the T. Forget building a stack, I've just been hanging...

Good fold or bad bet?
Playing in a $5 satellite on UB, I get the following hand:
With blinds at 10-20, I have about 1300 in chips, I'm in MP with Kd-Kh. One limper in front, I raise to 80 (standard raise for the...

If you were 1 place out of the money and somebody who had you covered went all-in pre-flop, would you fold??

I think this was a rhetorical question, but I will answer it...

Re: unbeatable game?
[ QUOTE ]
A lot of people in this thread have been saying the game is only beatable if you have a large bankroll.
The size of a player's bankroll has absolutely nothing to do with whether that...

Re: unbeatable game?
Just my 2 cents, at the risk of rehashing the obvious:
This game IS beatable with patience, time, and bankroll. This is not the game to sit down and kill an hour with your last few bucks before...

Re: Raise It Up Baby!
Thanks for the advice guys. It seems I can't win with AA these days, last night I had AA on the button, playing $.50/$1 NL on UB. One limper in front, I raised it to $5, blinds fold, limper calls. ...

AA in the Big Blind
How does everyone here handle aces in the big blind in an unraised pot? I don't generally consider myself good enough to slow-play AA, but I've read that in the BB you should check if no one raises...
