Re: AA in early position
Just call.
If u get a multiway action u can easily throw away your aces if u dont like the flop (or subsequent actions)
If u raise and get no action u dont have value on your hand
If u raise...

Re: Am I Just Bad At Tournaments
I'm sure you are talking about LIMIT tournaments (with the structure described) since at no-limit tournaments (hold'em) the best players prevail without difficulties.

After the 15 minutes break I have a decent stack of $3500 (I think the break occurs after 3 level of play).
After 3-4 hands, I'm dealt (A-A)3 (2 clubs);

Re: hold\'em vs stud popularity
In my opinion most stud games have the 1-5 structure with no ante and these games are very boring to play (especially against old people who play veeery tight...)
The only higher stud games I know...

Re: Two 7 Card Stud Tourney hands
My opinions:
First hand: 4-5-4 is not a good hand to play against a raising Ace even if that Ace is in steal position. All you have is a small pair and a longshot for a low hand. The only card you...

THis is one of the biggest dilemma playing stud.
I found that my best move is to raise his 4th street bet and then watching his reaction. A reraise from his part doesn't mean a clear fold but...

Re: Stud/8 hand BUT HE CAN\'T HAVE ANYTHING!
I don't like your bet on 6th.
If you are representing a made low you do have it since a made high hand don't fold your bet and your (early) paired board weakens your purpose. Even trips of 5s is dog...

Re: Was this the right move?
TWo reasons why you made a mistake
1) ON the flop you have to release your hand given the flop
2) THe flop is threatining (J-J-10) since many players play J-10 as starting hand

It's a 10-20 euro game with 1 ante and 2 bring-in.
The hand:
ME: (A-2)7 no flush cards
OPP1: (xx)K
OPP2: (xx)J...

I totally agree with previous answers.
The "4 flush flop all-in move" (and an open-end draw with 2 overcards) is easily recognizable. If you detect these moves and you are lucky enough your...
