Re: Good book for No Limit Hold\'em
I am a mid-level limit player but I want to start with no limit. I am also a decent tournament player. So I don't want a basic book but I also don't want a book written for $1000 buy-in games...

Re: Check/calling river acceptable?
I like the flop bet. You have no idea where you stand if you check and folding when you have an OESD w/ an over card is IMO weak. The flop action from UTG and CO indicate made hands. I'm guessing...

Re: What is tight-aggressive?
[ QUOTE ]
What a good tight aggressive player needs to be is selectively aggressive.

Would it be right to say that you are only aggressive (with some exceptions) when you either...

What is tight-aggressive?
The first poker book I ever read was WLLH, which we all know preaches weak-tight play. Then I read SSH which teaches tight-aggresive but I am still confused about the exact definition. I've been...

Re: 99 - Too Weak?
I would have just bet the flop. 99 EP for me is tough to win.
The turn c/r indicates that he has TP. I think his kicker is either T, J, or Q. I would have folded the c/r. That may be a bit...

Re: Correct Play??
Forgot to mention that the button is a loose raiser. I wasn't convinced on the flop that he actually had anything.

Check-fold that flop. You have nothing.

I played the flop because I had the BD nut flush draw with a big pot (At the time I called there were 17 SB in the pot).
Was...

Re: One hand, Two Questions
I think his flop play was incorrect. His goal should have been to keep as many players in as possible, not knock any out. I would have called the flop.

Re: KJo in MP
In higher limits, my guess would be that he made the flush on the turn (or he wants you to think he made the flush on the turn). I think he may also have AK, KQ, 77, or 55. I agree with call...
