Re: JJ

I did fold it and he took the blinds. That decision didn't sit well for me that's why I posted. My friend first said push then I convinced him folding was not so bad. I needed to find outside...

Re: JJ

I like the quote and your advice. I have him covered by 30K. I see that pushing against AK would be just fine. If i win i have huge chips, if i lose i am still in contention. Do you personaly...

Re: JJ

I almost never coin flip if I dont have to. My stack being this size means that I dont have to, so pushing in preflop is not an option for me. Maybe that is something I need to fix. So nobody...

Re: At what point do you HAVE to make a stand if you\'re being blinded out?

this depends on how many blinds you have if you fold. If you have three big blind then i would suggest folding and going all in with any hand on button or small blind if its folded to you. if you...

Re: JJ

The raise is pretty big. I would call 10K and decide on flop what to do. I just dont want to pay 15K and get trapped on a 9 high flop. I'm just wondering if any good players consider folding. I...

Re: too passive?

10/20 isn't huge stakes, but I'm pretty sure it's not micro limit. I wanted to protect my hand the best I could and I figure raising on the turn would do that better than raising on the flop. Why...

too passive?

10/20 live action game. The game is very loose. There are many huge pots. I am two off the button with JJ. 4 people call to me. DO I raise here? my thinking is that the button is super loose so...

Re: 55 SB

I wouldn't have hit my set. The flop came middle cards which the BB had a piece of and the button caught an Ace on turn. Besides, it doesn't matter whether I woulda hit it or not.

KQ suited

Live 10/20. On the looser side. There are two or three players that will cold call a raise with marginal hands at best. UTG is a local pro.
UTG raises, I am UTG+1 with K...

55 SB

A live 10/20 game. Hero is in SB dealt 5-5. UTG player and big blind are pretty loose. The button is a local pro.

UTG limps, folds, button raises, Hero peaks at 5-5.
Now what? This may...

Re: Do I have to pay it off?

He could have back door diamonds for instance. The point is how many of you who play in regular games come accros this situation and call and win? I lean toward calling but "know" I am losing. ...

Re: Take the free card?

This is a live 10/20 game. The villian is a player I have played with many times. He very rarely makes plays. His bet into my raise tells me that he has my KK beat. Even with a draw say 9-10 with...

Re: 55 MP

This is a live 10/20 game. I considered folding but this is a well know maniac and the table is pretty loose. Getting 7 callers to the flop is pretty lucky, but I expected around 4.

Re: 55 MP

I called and seven of us saw the flop. I hate three betting the maniac with these medium little pairs and getting exactly one or two callers behind me.
Also, later in the day I open raised in...

Re: 55 MP

He'll stay to the end with any kind of a draw and bet/raise the good draws i.e. flush, open ender. If he completely misses he would fold especially to my bet.

Re: 99 SB

I figure the button will fold anything from K-9 or worse and raise me with two pair. Also, I doubt he would chase two pair past the turn so I put him on JQ. There is a small chance he is calling me...
