Yeah, had to be a 4-flush or made flush w/low cards. Given a read on villain as a tightie, you could narrow it down to 4-flush.

half the time i limp and half the time i raise with 88, i only did it b/c there was only one caller before me and i would have position after flop and wanted the blinds out of the hand. With more...

Id raise more preflop, you are giving him 3 to 1 to call preflop, with one limper in this situation i make 2000 at least.
On the flop...
i would reraise(id prefer a fold over a call on the flop...
